Right now I'm playing Stalker Online. A buggy, glitchy mess of an alpha/beta (whatever) MMO based on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Made by Russian developers possibly in the back of a van. It's open world PVP but the karma system keeps the player killing in check for the most part. There are clan base capture/defense and clan wars or play with just a few clanless friends like me.

I'm a huge S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan so I'm probably much more inclined to accept and play this game as is for this reason. Plus there are no swords or magic spells in sight just guns and gas masks.

Other than that Dying Light. ARMA 3 mods Epoch and Breaking Point

No mmorpg's at the moment.  A few weeks ago I tried Marvel Heroes 2015.  It has all the elements of a good ARPG, plus I'm a big comic book fan.  Sadly, it was ridiculously easy.  They throw so much good gear at you non-stop that how you skill your character feels irrelevant.  With the Punisher I beat the first two difficulties without dying, I finally suicided myself just to see what would happen.  I quit shortly after.

Other than that the two games I'm currently playing are Ultra Street Fighter 4 and DOTA 2.  It's a nice change of pace to play games where I'm not going to kick ass from day 1.  To me, practicing combos and move timings is great stress relief.

“There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes this whole universe for a vast practical joke, though the wit thereof he but dimly discerns, and more than suspects that the joke is at nobody's expense but his own.”

GW2 because I find it to have some of the best combat in any game I've played.  It has managed to hold my interest with less burnout than I had in World of Warcraft.

AG drive at the moment, it's a cool racer for iOS. Not much else. Too busy at the moment to play any MMOs.

Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

Taking a break from mmorpgs, maybe I try the new token wow system or ESO later this year.

Diablo 3 is my everyday game from some time now because I can play 20 mins or 4 hours acordingly with my RL. Also I like to play on Hardcore mode  and season when I get bored with regular mode.., The expansion Reaper of Souls brought Diablo back on track and it keeps getting better every patch.

    Also play HS dailies

Tera is free and you can raid if those are the only reasons you play Rift.

Nothing....Just waiting for more RAM from Newegg.

Several of us were talking about Neweggs shipping is crap anymore....I think I'll have to find a new parts web site, they suck.

Just quit Marvel Heroes after playing it a few weeks, game is just way too easy and simplistic for my tastes.

Right now I'm playing a mix of Infested Planet and Path of Exile and then every few days I do my quests in Hearthstone mostly to just try to keep my decks up to speed in case I want to go back and play it more.

I downloaded Star Trek Online but just can't get into it. Not really any other MMORPG worth playing that came out in the past 10 years sadly. Such a waste of a genre. I really really wish Eve was actually fun to play because everything else about it is exactly what I want in a game. But the combat just isn't fun at all and I can only mine so much before I get bored to death.

I thought about going back but idk if there are enough players to form a party.  I keep hearing everyone left.  Wish it would go f2p it would be huge again.

When someone write something in a post by default it is in his/her own opinion.   Why do you even ask that?

ESO and WoW.  I still have the most fun in WoW raiding, and most of my friends and family play it.  ESO has the best PvP, and (for an MMO) very good graphics.  Also lately I've been having fun stealing everything in sight with my Khajiit :D

And my newest addition to my play schedule is Cities: Skylines.  It's what SimCity should've been and more :D

I got back in to SWTOR when Shadow of Revan launched, and I have been having a lot of fun with it. Leveled a Sith Warrior from 0-60, leveled my two 50's to 60 and was about to start a new Jedi Consular...but the announcement today about The Secret World revamp has my interest peaked, so I am going to check that out and maybe create a new character.

Also, I finally got Destiny for the PS4 and have been spending a lot of time playing that with friends.

I also recently bought a PS Vita and have been playing various JRPG's...

So many games, so little time..............

  • KanethKaneth Member RarePosts: 2,286

The few games I am currently invested in.

WoW: Although my interest has waned since the raiding program I was involved in went belly up. Might be time for a break.

GW2: Recently got back into it. My mesmer is nearing 80, which leaves me with leveling the necro as the final prof to be 80. I would like to have all 80's by the time HoT launches. Since we really don't have a clue as to what the specializations really entail, I want any and all options available to me.

Cities Skylines: Just launched and man it's a great city builder. I tend to plug out a few minutes a day on city builders, slowly developing my city and trying to not rush things. I can see many years of enjoyment out of this game.

Skyrim: I recently downloaded Perkus Maximus and it has really changed the way Skyrim can be played. Bethesda needs to seriously give this guy a job considering his perk trees are designed so much better than the original trees. Give PaMa a look if you haven't already.

I am currently playing FFXI as my MMO fix. I love the old school feel of it. I am still a noob, but I can see myself playing this for many more years.

I am also playing Battle islands and Loadout on the PS4. Battle Islands is my stratagem fix and Loadout is my FPS fix.

I have spent the past 4 months in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. My first visit with those games. I am now on my second character in New Vegas. I've enjoyed both games immensely :)

I have not logged into my "usual" MMOs this year, yet. Those being Wizard101, EQ, STO, and EMU's for EQ and WoW.

I still play a game or two in Madden NFL on my X-Box 360 every now and again (Coaching in Franchise Mode). I actually yell at my team more in Madden NFL then I do when I watch the real sport on TV :)

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

Getting ready for Pillars of Eternity so I am playing Icewind Dale since I never completed the game. Also beating Dungeon Siege II on Veteran once in a while just to complete it.

I am still playing Neverwinter. Have 5 level 60s, cleric, ranger, wizard, two fighters. It's a little slow just now because mod 6 drops next week & will raise the level cap to 70. Other MMOs I have played include WoW, SWTOR, DDO, LOTRO, Wildstar, Champions Online, DCUO, TSW. I was a hardcore raider and PvPer in WoW pre-BC but I would never go back, why pay a subscription when there are so many good MMOs you can get for free?

For non-MMO gaming, I fiddle around a little in Terraria from time to time, and am looking forward to Sword Coast Legends. Yes, I like the Forgotten Realms.

I'm pleasantly surprised on the sheer amount of responses by the community to help one another to find something that we might've missed or how to enjoy something others are enjoying. Regardless, if anything this thread proves how today times are changed. We have far more games to choose from than ever, but that's not the main reason why this community is as scattered across so many different games as it can be.

We need monuments out there, something that's beyond just a game for gamers to flock to, something that will separate itself as something more than just a game. Something that the developers will develop to be part of not for profits. Something that us the mankind can be proud about and not remembered by the next generations that best we had was some MOBA, card and WOW game for decades as the most popular out there.

I have not spent $ on a new game for 4 years and 2 months. So, it's safe to say that there can be more that can be done. I just wish I witnessed a game in my lifetime that will be so advanced and amazing that even our grandmas and greedy billionaires alike would rather be a part of than anything else they doing in life. The market is created not pursued. Out there there could be 500,000, 5, 50 or 500 million people who would spend $ for the right product. Games are not just entertainment, mainly for the younger audience. So many wars can also be prevented and countless lives saved from so many accidents by staying indoor and living within our means. Our planet would be cleaner and the people far more intelligent. In a game one can experience so many things faster, socialize and what not than it would take to do IRL.

Anyways, one can only dream and hope :) Back to my tetris...

After ten years of playing, I cancelled my Warcraft account around November. Since then I'm been hopping from game to game trying to get immersed in something else. There were a few games along the way I missed due to World of Warcraft.

Finished Bioshock 1. Moved onto Fallout 3. Played that for a solid month. Moved onto LFD2. I scored Titanfall for $5 about a little over a month ago. Been playing that consistently. I got to Gen10 some time last week. Kind of lost motivation to play since. Currently I've installed Assassins Creed 1. The new AC games really appeal to me so I figure I'll start at the beginning and work my way through.

I find myself coming back to these forums looking to see what is popular. I think of resubbing to Warcraft again, but I'll start to read about it (bots, garrisons, lack of community, etc) and I move on.

Perhaps I'm getting burnt out of gaming altogether. I wish I could find a game that got a hold of me like World of Warcraft did. When it first released I had just graduated high school and was focused on getting my degrees. I barely had any time. Now that I graduated and have a 35h career with lots of free time, I can't get myself back into the game. Weird.
