10) Neverwinter on Xbox One Nope, not a flicker of interest. Played Neverwinter for less time than it took me to download it, don't own and Xbox dont want one either.
9) Planetside 2 on PS4 Never played either PS or PS2, dont own a PS4 dont want one either.
8) Shroud of the Avatar Not waiting on this one, may look at it at launch might not either.
7) Elder Scrolls Online for Consoles LOL so above. Played this one for only slightly more time than Neverwinter.
6) Skyforge Whats that? Action game, Bye Bye. No interest.
5) Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade I never was interested in Warhammer 40k this one stirs even less interest.
4) Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward This is an Xpac not a game right? Tried FFXIV:ARR in beta found it off putting. No interest at all for this Xpac.
3) EverQuest Next Landmark 2015 release, yeah right. If this one ever sees the light of day I will be surprised but on current information not at all interested.
2) Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Another Xpac, not a game. Didn't like GW2 not interested in this one either.
1) The Division I had not even heard of it, so no anticipation at all. Modern setting? PvP? nope not interested at all.
In short the list is a joke. IF this is the best 2015 has to offer looks like I will be playing Everquest if anything at all.
3,4,6,10 I could care less about. The others I'm at least moderately interested to see how they go. 3,4,6,10 could burn or be lightning in a bottle and either way I wouldn't blink at them.
And how the hell do you have skyforge, NWN (console), and Warhammer 40k (the loby shooter) on here, but not Repopulation, Camelot Unchained, or one of the Star Citizen modules? It's like the person that made this list did zero research on anything outside his sphere of interest....
What about Life is Feudal or The Repopulation? Camelot Unchained? Maybe SkySaga or Albion Online? The list left me pretty uninspired.
Even Shards Online I anticipate more - and I doubt it makes it in 2015.
Played: Pretty much any fantasy MMO, some did not even make it to release ... Favorites: UO, EQ2, Vanguard, Wurm Online, Salem, ESO, Creativerse Playing: ESO, Creativerse, Guild Wars 2 Anticipating: (sigh) ... maybe Ashes of Creation
pretty poor list by the author if this article, launches of already launched games on consoles put on the list before actual new mmo's like The Repopulation, Albion Online, Black Desert, hell even Hex. Stinks of "put this article together really fast woops forgot about those".
Kyleran: "Now there's the real trick, learning to accept and enjoy a game for what
it offers rather than pass on what might be a great playing experience
because it lacks a few features you prefer."
John Henry Newman: "A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault."
FreddyNoNose: "A good game needs no defense; a bad game has no defense." "Easily digested content is just as easily forgotten."
LacedOpium: "So the question that begs to be asked is, if you are not interested in
the game mechanics that define the MMORPG genre, then why are you
playing an MMORPG?"
Apparently The Repopulation is such a poor game that it couldnt even make a list made on MMORPG, is that it or is the author of this article just braindead, which is it?
Right now we are in a bit of a lull in the MMO release schedule. Crowdfunding campaigns like Crowfall keep on trucking and the astronomically high level of hype around Star Citizen continues to escalate, but both of those games are pretty far off from a real release. This list isn’t going to mention any current crowdfunding games, nor will it mention stuff that will go into a closed alpha of any kind – only open betas and full releases. This list will however include expansions and ports of MMOs to different consoles.
I'm curious as to how EQNext made this list when clearly it will not be released in 2015. And Shroud? I think the concept of *release* has long been forgotten and any game put out there, in any state, qualifies as a release.
I'm curious of where you learnt to read... It clearly states "Landmark" lol
Camelot Unchained is supposed to be out at the end of this year....how is Neverwinter Online for consoles ahead of it? And who is anticipating landmark?!?!
The only one in this list I will even bother looking into is The Division. Skyforge had a lot of hype but it still hasn't caught my eye as something to look forward to. Neverwinter has had a lot of potential to be a great MMO but as good as the content has been it has one of the worst when it comes to balancing the classes and as many times as they try to nerf a class they seem just to make another class OP again until the cycle repeats lol And I have to agree with most about Landmark, I never hear anyone ever mention that game in any other MMO I've played in the past year so for being anticipated it sure looks forgotten aleady lol
You need to assign this writer to another site. Talk about being clueless, the entire article is beyond ridiculous. Granted game selection is a matter of choice, BUT:
NO SANE person plays a MMO on a console. Hear that David?
To top it off you have The Division as the top MMO? That gets a -10 for the entire silly article. Then to compound your gross errors in judgement you put none of the indie games on the list.
The writing on this site is going downhill fast. A really sad state of affairs.
Originally posted by Vonatar 4 MMOs (arguably), 3 console re-releases, 2 expansion packs and an online shooter.
Landmark is more of a toolset/testbed than an actual game and nobody is anticipating it. This is a really sad list but it's not like there was much to work with.
Also gotta agree with the person who said alpha/beta and early access pretty much counts as release if you are paying money to play... keeping the alpha/beta tag for years then doing a "release" when the game has been live for a year or two with a fully operational cash shop is a joke.
On the bright side at least we are getting GTA V for PC and Witcher 3 soon.

That really puts things in perspective. Never in a million years would I have guessed just how bad things would get in a decade. I, like many, had such high hopes back then. What a disaster this genre has turned out to be. Sad sad sad.

I disagree. Many people play FF XIV on console. Many play DCUO on console.
With the cross of Windows 10/XBox One there may soon be little difference between the two (both PS4 and XBox One are built on PC Hardware). There is also the upcoming Steam Machine platform, which may also bring some more MMO's to the console market.

oh wait...
I'm glad they didn't mention that hunk of a mindless grind and p2w of a game.
Quite happy indeed.

Can you not read? Not sure why i asked, your comment proves you can't. Let me point it out for you. "Top 10 blahblahblah MMO RELEASES of 2015"
Black Desert is not releasing in 2015. No chance at all. Thus its not on this list.
Where are the Metrics for this list? What methods did you use to determine that these were the most anticipated games?
QFT if you too would like to see these metrics.
2004 was a cool year. Too bad about: Dragon Empires, Middle Earth Online, Wish.

lol. this shows that you don't play the game and the text was given to you to just post it here.
Out of that list i am only looking forward to Warhammer 40k if it makes it this year, EQN wont be out this year so cant be part of that list.
I do Like Shroud of the Avatar but it does not really feel like an mmo more of a multiplayer rpg so not sure if it can be part of the lsit either.
Dont care for FF or GW2 and I am pretty sure The Division will end up being junk.
The main mmorpg I am looking forward to this year is The Repopulation and I have already been testing it so know I will enjoy it
Mine are Bless and EQN, neither will be out this year and with the recent changes in EQN company who knows what is going to happen with that now
