Originally posted by meonthissite I find it ironic here in these forums that so many will not support a F2P game because they claim that it will be a P2W disaster even before ever discovering what the billing model actually is because they haven't released it yet, but these same jokers will defend to the death the Pay to Progress models cleverly disguised behind a gem to gold conversion system that GW2 has become. smh Hypocrite much?Oh and to the poster of this article THANK YOU for mentioning how the Store has directly affected NWO. That's journalism integrity right there!
As much as I am having fun in the game and will mostly play it (depending on what else ends up in the cash shop) It is shady to add a cap to what you can earn in game and then let you bypass the caps with RL money. This does lend to P2W. Players should be on a equal footing. There should be a way in game to bypass the caps. If they did, then we could drop the P2W in this area.
They said they added the caps to slow down progression so hardcore and casuals will be on equal footing. Now thats a lie IMO, now its equal footing unless you has access cash. That raises a red flag as well. Still will play for now but I am watching close to see how this plays out.
Played RU CB and based on that decided to buy the EU/US Version. Played a bit around in CB 1 here and its fine with me. Now waiting for OB to start, reserved Name already and done. Now i just sit around and have a good laugh across the forums at all these jealous "P2W" whiners.
I like the fact they give you 13 classes to play with.... I'm an alt-a-holic. LOL. I may play....... we will see..... Beautiful graphics (Good), linear (Bad), Dynamic combat (Good), Actual Content (Unknown).... waiting to hear more about the gameplay and questing.

for me it boiled down to the classes i really despise being forced to play one of the starter classes to a specific point before i can play the class i wish. its nice that we dont need to relevel from 1 but this system alone is a huge turn off i dont enjoy any of the 3 starting classes.
the payment systems that i see alot complain about dont alter my perspective of these types of games and frankly i allways find them to be on the childish side mostly drumed up from the younger generation that either cant afford to support something they enjoy that ofc is proberbly very ignorant of me but we are who we are
anyway if they add perhaps ways to play the other classes from the get go i may play it if not i doubt ill invest my time leveling something i dont enjoy just to see if ill enjoy the others.
After playing the game for a good 30 minutes, it seems really really mediocre. The graphics looks like shit, the boob physics is so stupid I can't even talk to female NPC without thinking of her ridiculous it really is.
The game doesn't seem very polish (OFC it is closed beta, but isn't it already released in Russia?). The combat feel clunky especially the double tab to "dodge".
after today, I might try the game wtih sweetfx and see how it plays, but I doubt it will change my mind.
My wife and I crack up every time we talk to a female NPC. They really need to try a different setting on that. It does not even look like boobs any more. As for playing for 30 min and calling it medicore. You really need to take a few people into missions because they scale from the get go. Also 30 min in is like getting level 3-4 in most games. You have no clue what the game is like. Get to Naori Island and then judge, its just a few hours game play to get there and it was down right fun =-) Im starting to see something in this game and if more zones are like Naori Island, Im gona be a happy gamer.
I don't need 30 minutes to tell me that the game feels clunky. At least the combat does, it doesn't feel fluid.
There games have good system of game play, but how allods team is, they are to get you spend money on parts of the game to keep up if not you'll be hold back like did with allods still doing now.
But maybe they will change but history, but don't see it if there looking to change with there other games.

You can't "alt". You just play ONE Char with ALL classes included. Just sayin

Then its has to be your system. The combat is very solid. I have played better but its at least a solid B for combat. Its smooth, fast pased and by 1000 prestige even reg bosses are far from tank and spank. Almost raid worthy on a small team scale. 30 min in you have no clue what your talking about.
Absolutely yes, i have played already >40h in CBT1 and 2 since now and some friends and me had a lot of fun with this game. Nice grafics, very good boss scripting, nice leveldesign, the action combat feels mostly good (and no tab target needed, but possible), And there are some changes coming for better party play and difficulty settings.
Very interesting some people see pay2win here even before the shop is really done I stopped playing Allods after the cursed item patch too, but for now i can't see big issues in this game, but we have to wait how it evolves if the shop is totally in.
Feeding the f2p sharks is probably one of the worst things you can do. Considering the company behind it, this game just screams avoid it like the plague it is.
Devs censoring p2w discussion suggests they aren't taking player concerns seriously. Conceptually the game sounds interesting, especially the class system and earning abilities, but business model sounds dubious.
Nope. All the game offers me is what I can get in every other MMO, heck GAME, out there. I'm looking for deeper gameplay with more meaning, more immsersion and more OPEN world aspects, this game comes no where near offering any of that.
I'm undecided. Most likely I'll try it at some point, since I did like what I've seen so far. But on the same note, it also has nothing that really wows me so much that I want to play it immediately.

I have enjoyed the closed beta and open beta so far. And based on my experience of the game so far I might play it now and then. Not as my main game though, it will be a game to relax in and just derp around.
I'll try it for sure but im not giving them a cent, not after reading about their poutinian forum rules. ( not being allowed to use the word P2W or a conversation that oversimplifies their business model)
