Gonna give it a shot for sure. I have been playing the hell out of ESO lately trying to level some characters to xfer over to the PS4 version. Neverwinter will hopefully be something good to play sitting on the couch instead of at the keyboard.
Made a Guardian Fighter - I'm always a big fan of sword n' board classes, tanking role, etc. so it seemed a good fit.
Character creator is very robust, I was worried when it showed me a handful of options to chose from, but that worry was quickly alleviated when the next screen took me to a typically awesome Cryptic character creation system.
Gameplay in the story/combat areas is smooth, very fluid. The action combat feels good on a controller. Graphics aren't top notch AAA but certainly passable.
Certainly a bit of performance/latency/lag and FPS issues in the main town, but with dozens of instances and each one shock full of players, certainly shows a lot of people are playing!
Does XB1 have its own servers?
Story is passable, VO ranges from awful to pretty good (some crazy old lady had an amazing voice actor).
Very typical and linear "go kill X" and "go talk to Y" story so far, but the combat is constantly throwing you against 3-6 foes at a time, so that's good fun.
Only level 11, the signs of F2P have just started showing up - the one dungeon treasure chest key a day thing - but I have no idea yet what that actually means, what the implications are.
Going to try and run my first 5-player dungeon tonight, see how that goes.
Just got into crafting, appears to have a SWTOR like minion system in place - still early in to that.
Certainly kept me entertained for the 4+ hour block I jammed out last night. Trying to get a few of my buddies to download it and give it a try. Most of them are waiting for ESO, but that is still a ways off.
So far I'd give the game a solid... 7/10 - it's "good" but nothing really special yet, outside the combat which feels very well put together.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on it as well.
A decent offering for those with an Xbox one.
I am going to play it for a few weeks and see if it is something I want to invest anymore time in. My thoughts so far is it will be something to pass the time until ESO launches. I may be a bit biased towards ESO as I have time and characters leveled in the PC version already, just waiting the realese and transfer.
Never played the PC version of neverwinter so I cant comment on that.
How are the graphics and framerate? Could you compare it with PC version?
Also, do you have access to Foundry and can you play as well as create Foundry quests?
Thanks in advance.
Graphics are probably on par with the PC version, framerate is good in the quest areas - in the main city hub it is pretty choppy at time, but the amount of players in the hub is pretty darn high right now (launch madness).

Yeah, I've got ESO on pre-order, waiting on House of Wolves in Destiny... NW might be a good time waster.
I've also got my free month of FFXIV I'm burning through, and Child of Light is free this month w/ XBL Gold.
I'll keep going and see how my impressions change. Hopefully a few of my buds hop in.
Did a few more quests on my Guardian Fighter, also queued up and played my first instanced dungeon.
Was kind of tough to actually "tank" anything but the big/elite mobs, but really didn't have to worry about picking up the little stuff too much as it got burned down real quick.
My brother downloaded the game, so we made new characters and started from the beginning together.
I rolled a Sun-Elf Control Wizard this time around.
First, we couldn't actually join up together until after the tutorial (bridge section) which is fine.
Grouping up was easy enough. Even changing instances to be in the same one was easy and quick.
I'm not sure if the content scales up because we were playing together, but man oh man two DPS classes sure burned through mobs a hell of a lot faster than my Guardian Fighter!
Control Wizard was good fun - highly mobile, some interesting and powerful spells, certainly a lot more active than the Guardian Fighter. My brother was playing a Trickster Rogue or whatever, seemed to enjoy it.
I then loaded up Child of Light (free this month!) and was instantly hooked - going to be hard to balance time between NW, Child of Light, and my beloved Destiny time!
