You can see Chris Roberts constantly glanced left in the video and that's because a staff was trying to signal him to stop.
You DO know that "10ftC" is not a live twitch stream, do you not ?
There is no need to "signal him to stop" .... anyone of the crew on site could walk into the picture, tell him to stop, remind him of anything they think is important .... and cut out any part of the recording. Or just tell the camera guy to stop recording for a moment and clear up any unclear points.
Do you REALLY believe that there is a PR staff guy just outside the picture eating his baseball cap in frustration because Chris Roberts is "spilling the beans" ?!?! During a RECORDING session that is being prepared sometimes WEEKS in advance ?! ;-)
Have fun
Well "10 for the chairman" is not exactly a pr success ..
Demo PC's not working, talking about delays while at the same time almost agreeing to do almost whatever any questioneers asks him about the game .. And now talking about releasing the game in the state it's in .. that's not good Erillion ....
Kickstarter goals and stretch goals are all promises of systems delivered at certain amounts of goals. They show quite clearly on their own homepage.
I do understand that you Erillion is on amongst few defenders of the game here but I have to tell you that your argumentation in SC's favour is stretched at best ..
FACT is that the game will NOT be released with features promised, you can argue as much as you like but that is solid fact .. You can defend them all you like but FACT is that it seems like the money they have received through crowfunding and money milking STILL is not enough to finish the product .
Years of delays and features pushed and removed .. It simply isn't optimal.
On a personal level it looks like he spend the money on other things than software engineers ..
I don't think "fact" means what you think it means.
There's a reason the game is at 113 million dollars - and there's a reason it keeps growing. It's not because the vocal and hateful detractors and their imaginary "facts" rule the day.
There sure has been some larger then average donations to SC .. but average John Doe is not the one pushing it to 113 million dollars ( if that's the official last amount ) !
Another "hard fact" as pure conjecture?
Unless you have proof, including names and amounts, you have nothing at all. Again, imaginary facts don't rule the day.
Even so, it doesn't really matter if one person donated 113 million dollars or a million people donated them.
The FACT is that support is massive and it keeps growing. The amount of people involved is entirely irrelevant.

Facts are that a lot of people spend thousands of dollars on spaceships not even implemented or capable of flight.
Why don't you simply post what you're talking about here?
I'm not interested in clicking links to find whatever point you might be making.

No, it's because 113 million dollars for a crowd-funded project is massive.

You have a funny definition of "cratered" ;-)
Total in March 2016: $2,010,472
Total in February 2016 : $2,139,933

Total in June 2015: $1,061,274
Total in May 2015: $2,815,387
Total in April 2015: $3,211,615
Truely ... it "cratered" so hard it barely made $112,851,813 up until today ....
WOE BETIDE ... DOOM IS NEAR !!
Have fun
PS: Thats on average 2.815.828 $ per month over the last year
With something around 300 employees (number includes contract workers) and an old rule of thumb from the gaming industry of 10.000 $ per employee per month for ALL COST the typical fan estimated (!) burn rate is around 3 M$ per month.
So overall the money coming in according to the official counter approximately matches the fan estimated (!) current burn rate.
Continuing to claim to raise that type of money isnt a positive especially on the heels of them admitting they cant deliver the game they said they would in the time they said they could. If they have a 'steady' source of income why have they made so many concessions since the beginning of the year? If they had the 64 bit game world "competed' (according to them) sometimes in Nov of 2015 (6 months ago) and have, since then "raised' another 30 million or so why hasnt there been any SIGNIFICANT progress shown? Hell there really hasnt been any progress shown at all.
When the excuse was "they had to rebuild the engine and change the format" were the main excuses as to why the development had slowed, they have claimed to have had all that done for at least 6 months. So why are they still stalled? Oh yeah theyre redoing player character models, and after that its ship models, and after that who knows. Why is it that when they (allegedly) get something figured out they make more work for themselves? Most people know the TRUE answer many others will make up stuff that makes CiG look like theyre actually trying to do something.
Like I have said in the past the more money these guys raise and the less impressive the delivered product will be will simply answer all the questions. If they end up raising a billion dollars then you MIGHT get something 'worth' about 100 million out of it. But that will be a decade more down the road and when the game is ancient by comparison.
why hasnt there been any SIGNIFICANT progress shown? Hell there really hasnt been any progress shown at all.
100+ patches and the Alpha "Crusader" environment and half a dozen new flyable ships in the last months
equals
"no significant progress" ???
We seem to have different views on what progress is in game development.
Have fun
Adding ships IS NOT significant improvement. No. Its like putting more fish into a leaky fish tank. You always have water on the floor and have to add water to it everyday, but you think that having more pretty things to look at makes that OK. The Crusader map is the leaky fish tank by the way.
Buying a new fish tank would be a significant improvement, or in the very least making sure the one you have isnt leaking.
"Xi’an Scout The Khartu is the light attack

doesn’t have a traditional main thruster, instead featuring an array of
maneuvering thrusters on articulated rigs. This design allows for
incredible agility, making them the bane of UEE
pilots, who bestowed the nickname ‘Quark’ because when all of the
thrusters are firing, the ship looks like a spark flying through space.
The Xi’an Aopoa corporation also manufactures an export model, the
Khartu-al, for sale to human civilians as a dedicated scout/explorer.
The export model features the same Xi’an maneuvering rig, but control
surfaces modified for human use and a more limited armament. (Designer:
Aopoa)"
So ... by definition .... CIG is fulfilling one of the stretch goals.
As in ... making progress ... as in ... a stretch goal done ... check = significant improvement.

Again its deflect and trying to make something that ANY modder could do in his spare time as something significant.
Like many have said a vast majority of those stretch goals were no major thing, they were not so cleverly disguised ways to openly sell ships and thus why we continue to have these discussions about all the tax stuff, what was crowd funded what was kickstarter were they sales were they rewards for contributions et al.
Actually making a stable game and putting out systems in that game like mining, crafting in general or trading, you know the purposes of some of the ships they sold would be significant progress. Well first they have to actually make a persistent game world in the first place which I dont think they are capable of yet. Let alone the manpower or resources to tackle since theyre now all in on SQ 42.

You really should read my post before replying unless you like making a fool of yourself, then by all means carry on.
[1:14] Q: Will mined out locations be depletable, and will the minerals regenerate?
A: Mining won’t alter
geometry, but an object on the planet. If they do regenerate, they might
not look the same or be in the same area.
[4:26] Q:Are there any new animations or physics effects that you have been working on and the challenges that you have encountered?
A: We’re working
constantly on the Zero G Driven Ragdoll technology. While not super
obvious to players, things are being fixed and changed. Things like the
Zero G Driven Ragdoll transitioning through physics grids and the
skeleton working with the new Item Port System, and extending properly
are some challenges we’ve encountered.
[6:56] Q: How will you implement a mining laser for the Orion?
A: It’ll be an
actual beam unlike some games that make them a glorified machine gun.
Sean solved it from an earlier project MechWarrior: Living Legends and
doing Raycasting. What’s great is the code is all in place for what’s
required and it’ll be up to VFX team to design a cool effect.
[10:57] Q: Will planets have multiple biomes? Will flora and fauna be high fidelity?
A: Yes and yes. They hope
to one day even have full weather systems for planets. Flora and fauna
will be high fidelity because they’re made by the art team before
placed.
[15:21] Q: Are Circular space
stations possible? E.g. Walking along the wall or the possibility of
different areas of gravity like someone walking upside above you?
Are planets just simply big localized physics grids?
A: Yes! they’ve
actually done internal builds doing just that where it’s circular or
having people walk on above using magboots as they have the tech to do
those things. What matters is the cost to do something like that in
game, it’s possibly, just have to see what’s best.
A: Unfortunately they’re a lot
more complicated than that as planets have gravity to the center whereas
physics grids are defined. Having to do the physics calculations
planetary wide at the same time isn’t feasible so they have other ways
of making it work.
[19:25] Q: ArmoredCitizen asks: What sort of navigation can we expect for planets? Maps? GPS? Beacons?
A: All of the above.
Quantum Travel Beacons will be used to get a player close enough to
allow for a speedy landing. They looked up how long it takes in the real
world for a zero g to atmosphere transition takes. If they made it like
that, you’d do it once and never do it again. They need to find a
balance of fun/time that works. Of course, wanting you to always be in
manual control. However, they want to make sure it feels ‘right’, that
it’s fun.
Once you get past that, and onto the planet your ship’s map will become a
3D map. Giving you representation of where you are, horizon, etc.
[21:58] Q: Biggest feature headache so far? Which is the hardest nut to crack?
A: Item port system right
now as it’s a huge transition from CDF that Crytek uses to Item port
and having to juggle supporting both systems at the same time.
A: Hardest nut to crack
is the full size solar system. We have the support in place for it, but
until it’s all in one build: persistence, procedural tech, character
customization etc, we won’t know what will happen. We’ve begun having QA
test a model and this is something you’ll see sooner rather than later.
[26:47] Q: Update on the female model, why is it being held up long after the male model has already been released?
A: Want to
completely finish the animations for the male first so they can just
drop the female frame into it using the same logic, this will make for a
smoother implementation of the female model when it’s finally
completed.
[31:25] Q: Hair Salons? Will I be able to get plastic surgery?
A: More than likely
you’ll be able to change your hair ingame once you’ve created a
character and any facial changes would be done at a medical facility.
[37:36] Q: How will procedurally generated oceans work on planets? Will it kill performance? Space whales?
A: They’ll be generated
in a way that it’s seamless and you won’t see tiles as you fly in. It’s a
challenging task, but one of the original CryEngine creators is
teaching one of the junior programmers how to solve this task and it’ll
have the same fidelity you see from CryEngine in other games.
A: Space Whales confirmed by Sean Tracy who says, your move Chris.
[21:58] Q: Biggest feature headache so far? Which is the hardest nut to crack?
A: Item port system right now as it’s a huge transition from CDF that Crytek uses to Item port and having to juggle supporting both systems at the same time.

That is code for 'we havent implemented 64 bit the way we claimed we could yet."
The 'we wont know what will happen' is pretty much a precursor to the eventual "we just cant do it'' that will be coming along in a short while. Thats what the 'sooner rather than later' means.

Your deduction ad extrapolation capabilities continue to amaze.
well to be fair its not really code. But its as close tot he truth as he can bring himslef to admit right now. But give i a couple more months and he will admit it, like he has recently admitted othet things the pro camp didnt like hearing but tried to spin in a positive light anyway.

Keep up the good work.
