So is the Alpha started?

I feel like it probably is, but I'm still not 100% sure. I'm thinking about backing on the level in which I can join the alpha, so any links or info is appreciated.

 

Additionally, has there been any information released relating to when the betas will run?

    Alpha started more than a month ago, for example there was (is still?) a session today.  You can see from Tier Comparison list on CU site that the cheapest lpha-tier is Builder`s Booty which you can purchase from their store.

     

    You can see from the Tier Comparison list above that beta 1 (the earliest beta) is estimated for August (I believe it will be the end of august or later) this year.

     W...aaagh?

    i believe right now there only having sessions at certirtain times to log in, i wont buy in until theres a server up all the time

    You'll prolly have to wait till closer to beta for that(which is likely to save you a great deal of money). 

     

    I don't think they plan on having an "always up" server until much closer to release. Not to mention the alpha packages are a bit on the steep-side.... imo.

    some packages can be a bit pricey indeed, but i look at it from a different point of view.

    I purchased te warrior for ever pledge, $275 I think it was. That gets me the game when it is released, 3 years of free game play and then annual fees of exactly $1.

    If I compare that to pretty much anything I think it is a great deal/ Yes there is a chance I wasted my money and the game never gets released, but if it does, I'll play for ever for free basically :)

    Yeah, i'm thinking about upping my pledge, but I'm not going to buy a life-time sub until i'm sure I'm not going to dump it after playing for 3 months. 

     

    It really is a great deal though for those who are more sure than me. 275 sounds like a lot but that's only about 18 months of sub fees, if you play longer than that you've basiclly gotten the game for free + any MORE time is just gravy. It's a win for all parties involved really.
