Why yes, I am quite sure we all love to spend money as long as the investment is worth the expenditure. What most of us do not like to do is waste money. A more applicable question would have therefore been ...
"Do you people like wasting money?"
That is a rhetorical question that would have gotten your point across quite effectively requiring no debatable response.
The first mistake is that you consider anything in a video game as an investment. You are paying for fun (or u should be). If you are getting that benefit, you aren't wasting your money. Wasting your money would be to buy 'fun' and not get it. So if I wanna spend 50$ on a costume, and I get enjoyment out of it, it isn't a waste.
Originally posted by Thodra I upgraded to PS4, cous I would've bought for PS4 to start with. Plus after playing ESO on the PC I know now they made it for consoles. You are all missing his point..... Theere is 0 differencee between a ps4 and a computer........... But one thee ps4 is out dated. The only slight differnce is, that there are a few games, that are on the PS4, that arent on the PC, which just suck any ways.

Nope cause you could of gave me the 400 dollars, instead of wasting it on a PS4, when you already had a computer that was capable of playing ESO. It would be more akin to saying you bought 2 of the same costumes, and had fun with both, but really if you had one custome it would of been the same damn thing. So sincee you all are so rich, you can just waste moneey left and right on duplicate garbage, I am peentioning Obama now, to raise the tax on PS4s, and gaming things, to around 90%, and that money goes to the poor, such as like increase the food stamps, by what ever it that 90% tax brought it.
if the money spend for useless game stuff was given to the poor, the world would be better place. Millions and Billions of dolars actually helping people for a change.
Im sure 40$ spend on a costume so you to have some "fun", would give much more happines to someone who is dying from hunger somewhere.

No using a controller on a pc isn't the same as, using on a console. At least not to me. I love consoles and always have. If you prefer pc, great. Yes there's something called HDMI, but pc is far from the TV, so I would have to move the pc every time I would have to play. And I'm not missing his point. He is wondering why people would upgrade to a console version, yea I say upgrade, cous I do think it's an upgrade to play elder scrolls online on a console. But why would make a post about this and basically bashing other people for liking a console better. Cous it's not because people are spending more money, they are just upgrading to something else. Console games cost more money than pc games

i gave several rasons why i spent $20 to play it on my PS4, read on page 2 or something.
For me at least when you are playing something like an MMO, I just prefer sitting upright at a computer desk with my keyboard and mouse and sometimes mic or headset for teamspeak. That is a lot harder to do when lying on a couch. Also, I have the new Acer 1440P IPS Gsync 144hz 27" monitor. Sitting 1 1/2 arm lengths away from this unbelievably beautiful screen with my Titan X and upscaling to 4K will be unmatched with any normally priced TV...which in my TV room I'd be sitting 10 feet from the 70" TV..its just a different feel. Some times I prefer sitting and gaming in front of the TV and a PS4 is perfect for that. Sometimes I prefer the higher tech of my PC and my office is perfect for that. What I don't want to do is lug my PC back and forth across the house every time I want to play...and since games on the PS4 are graphically now good enough, I dont feel like its a huge sacrifice for those games I chose to play on it.
You still have to buy the Console version for $60.
$80 Total, plus the $60 you spent on the PC version.
PC version was basically a beta and a way for them to fund console development. The controls are horrible, and yet they were too damn lazy to implement controller support in their game.

According to everything I read, for $20 you get the game and your character transferred. Once done, however, that's it. You characters live different lives.
The one thing I DIDN'T see.. was if I could spend $20 on XBO and $20 on PS4 and have my characters on all of them.

I think it's amazing that you have to make that choice. They should have just done it like FFXIV and had all platform players on the same servers.

no they shouldnt.. it doesnt matter how good you are with a controller, in dungeons / raids etc... you can always tell when you're playing with a console player on ffxiv and it's a hinderance on the group wether you believe it is or not, in dungeons in ffxiv it was always the worst thing in the world getting Playstation characters come into a random group while you're playing on PC because it literally made things take so much longer...
that being said ESO is developed a lot more console friendly.. you dont need over 20 keybinds for abilities, you have mouselook combat etc... so it might be more feasible... but ffxiv should never have done it

Why would people waste money on the console version? Cause they had a console and a crappy pc? This thread requires more thought....The points are logical if the person is buying it for console when they own it on pc, but most people buying it for console will not have it on pc or dont want to buy a decent enough pc to run it better than a console can.

Think of it like a person on a PC playing without a mouse and using up down left right to look around while using wsad to move, and then performing poorly because they have to aim at a target, lock it in (tab target) then a rotation is more than 6 buttons for the most part in FFXIV so they're using button combinations ontop of their standard buttons like r2 l2 as modifiers etc...
it was just overly obvious who was on a PS3, to the point of where we would just drop group if we came across an overly identifyable PS3 player... some of them were ok, but for FFXIV which sure as hell was not designed with console in mind it's a no no....
if you wanna put an MMO on console, you need limited action set, mouse look combat etc... like neverwinter, eso, wildstar would probably port good to console

just because you prefer a PC over consoles doesnt mean everyone should be the same. I moved from Warframe PC to PS4, moved from DCUO PC to PS4, waiting on Planetside 2 to move as well, will move from FFXIV from PC to PS4, and already paid my $20 bucks to transfer ESO to PS4.
I do need a PC upgrade, but at the moment i can play every single game out there on my current PC, just not at 60fps for most mmos. That is not why im moving to the PS4 version of every game that goes multiplatform.
Im moving to the console version because i prefer it that way. I have a gaming PC specifically for PC exclusive games, tab target mmorpgs, single player games that have mod support, and the occasional moba. If a game goes multiplatform, i switch to my console.

Lol, it's cute that you believe that $40 would help someone. If you'd like to guilt someone, though, feel free to talk to the US about their $1 Trillion military budget. I'm fairly certain that $50 Billion annually would bandaid the homeless problem in the US.
3 points :
1: 40 x every single person that buys the outfit = over 5000 $
2: Im just trying to use arguments why spending money online is pointless xD I cant see myself having fun if someone buyed something and has it, over me, that i dont have it and i really want it.
3:Usa is in foult for everything in the world.
Again, I can appreciate what you're saying. There are plenty of frills that you can buy for your online game that seem pointless, but would be nice to have. I'd also like a Ferrari, though, but that's not going to happen. That's just it, too. People don't like that real-world class differentiation is now making it's way into games. The reality is that if a game (probably doesn't even matter which one) advertised an item limited to 20 items only and sold them for $10,000 each, it's probable that there would be 20 people to buy it. Why? Because they can and you can't. This is reality, though, I'm not sure why you have such a hard time accepting that, in life, some people are going to have more and better stuff than you.
Secondly, world hunger is a huge problem, I agree, but you aren't going to solve it by asking for money. How long have world hunger campaigns been running now? It could be solved, but it would never be solved by money alone. There are plenty of other political and unrest issues in third world countries that would need to be taken care of before anything could happen. Otherwise, what happens? We build infrastructure so that people can get water and grow their own food. Yay! As soon as we leave, some militia group rolls in, knocks down everything and re-sells anything that is worthwhile selling. Boooo!
On your third point, I'm not really sure why you feel that the US is at fault for everything in the world. They may have agendas of their own, but if you believe that there are much worse people/governments/countries out there that you should probably worry about.

First of all, The games should not bring IRL in any point. Only because of what you said. It is like those useless Kikstarter campaings where for only 25k donnation you get to do whatever you want in the game, and people pay (Honestly idk how they get the money) Reallity sucks >.> thats why people play MMORPG anyway. I will be glad someone to make an other system different than the money one, but that wont be happening any time soon.
World hunger can be solved with money But again, no one really wants to spend money to actually clear those countries. The entire "my border is mine" situation is stupid. There should be no borders and no countries .
and last. In the mood of the first comment about the dept of us i said us is all its foult. Well, also not everything in the world but from historical and world point you have to agree that us is responsible for some things.
P.S. I dont want ferrari. I don't drive. If i had 10 million dollars i would buy exactly nothing with them. I don't like spending money for things i don't need in the first place.
