Any Ancient-Roman (ish) games coming out soon? Any ones that look promising anyway. Probably a stupid question...

    I actually want to see Ensemble Studios (makers of Age of Empires and Age of Mythology, my favorite RTS's!) take a stab the MMORPG genre. I think they could make a good historicaly based MMO (sorry I'm not putting a lot of faith in Roma Victor). Years ago they were supposedly making a single player RPG but it never came to light. ::::21::

    This is a stretch but have you checked out Imperator. It's not ancient Roman but Rome in the future as if it never fell. Looking at the screenshots they are doing a good job of keeping a Roman feel even though it's sci-fi. Just trying to help.

    Gods & Heroes (althought maybe more Greek, close enought?)

    Tactica Online (some neats ideas).

    ?????? Not sure where you heard this, but it's completely wrong. You may be getting confused with the fact they had to change the game's name from 'Gladius Online' to 'Roma Victor' apparently Lucas Arts had trademarked Gladius a couple of weeks prior to RedBedlam's own trademark submission.

    So if this is your reason for not following RV, perhaps it's time to give it another look? ::::39::
