My ranger does awsome in PvP and I play him well. I carry 3 sets of resist gear and carry 4 bows with diff spects to change out during PvP. I can take out most classes and any warrior will drop at my feet. My prob is why all the hate whispers? My ignore list is full and I do not say anything to the other team at all to provoke the hate whispers. I dont get the hate whispers when im team fighting with my guild but I get the hate whispers in the random arenas after the fight win or lose its the same. Do any of you rangers get this? Or is it just me?

in my opinion, the classes are all pretty well-balanced. sounds like you've got a well-oiled machine with your ranger, and you're killing a lot of people, and that will cause some of the little whiny babies in GW to yell at you. boo hoo, that's the way it goes. same deal with my mesmer/elementalist. i stand face-to-face with warriors on a regular basis, no problem, and usually own them. and they flame regularly. "TWINK!" they sceam. well, no, just a well-balanced combo of skills and i know how to use them right to shut down most of my opponents.
really, just thank god for the ignore button.
I completely hear you on this one. I think it really comes down to ranger skills that people are not prepared to deal with...such as poison and armor penetration. They come in with their big "guns" and their high priced armor suits...but none of that matters if you poison them quick with an armor penetrating shot, or distract them while they are pushing off there healing signet.
This is not to say that the other professions are not successful. My ELE/MONK does just fine in the arena, with mostly area effect spells and self heal. And its not as though my ranger doesn't die in the arena sometimes...especially when the other random members of my team are doing crazy things...like blocking my fire, or standing in the way when I try to move for a better shot. (Do you all do this too? I haven't seen many other rangers moving around while shotting...I do this all the time, am I the only one?)
To end, I'd agree with the last post, ignore was put there for a reason. Use it as you are. But also remember that those people will forget who you are in two days or so. I'm constantly changing my ignore list, unless something incredibly offensive has been done or said. This lets me keep the -ANGER- , while putting more people back into the fold for further teaming, etc. It has worked for me so far...plus, remember those people would want to be you, or know how you do it. If you ignore them for life, they are gone. But they could become allies with the proper training and discussion.
Don't give away all your secret.

I dont hate rangers. I do joke at the expenses of rangers on every game unless I am currently playing a ranger, in which case I smile when I read a new ranger joke!
Rangers attract young players a lot, they do memorables mistakes. Exemple, in a raid(years ago), the guild leader of a starting guild call for a cleric to camp, nobody in the whole guild camp except a ranger...and that ranger try to justify why he camp! Memorable, especially that it was in my early day and was able to discover a new aspect of my chanter and save a wipe and the ranger come back and we where all fine and thanking him for allowing us to get a greater share of XP.

This could be mentioned already i dont have time at the moment to read to posts between the first and this one here...
I personaly used to dislike rangers. I do not go as far to tell the rangers that i didnt like them but i still just got annoyed. If you noticed i used past tense. The reson for my dislike (not hate) was that at the beginning there were SO many of them. It seemed everywhere i turned there were rangers, and it was quite just the fact that there was a lot, its that there were a lot of bad ones.
Most rangers now are ok. Hell in our Guild Build i believe we have 2 /rangers becase they can carry some really nifty condtions that can really screw some builds up.
Tp answer your question, it sounds like the people sending you these tells are suffering from a disease i like to refer to as jelousy. You honestly just kick the crap outa them so they feel they need to try to down grade you by smashing your character which is obviously better then theirs.
My suggestions is embrace these negative comments, for in real they are positive comments on how you waisted them. So if they say somthing bad just reply simply with a "ty." And soon enough they will stop the spam.
