Looking for entertainment

Hey all,

I'm having a dilemma when it comes to MMO gaming these days and honestly feel pretty unsure if I just need a break from the whole scene generally or I'm actually looking at gaming in the wrong way.

I have pretty much played most MMO's to date. I burn out very easily because honestly all I see is the same re-hashed environments, mobs, combat, crafting... there's nothing new or in my opinion exciting.

I'm bouncing from game to game trying to find something and just feel that there has been nothing that really peaks my curiosity.

List of MMO's played

Eve Online

WoW

GW2

Archeage

TERA

Star Trek Online

Neverwinter

Marvel Heroes 2015

SWTOR

Skyforge

Elder Scrolls Online

Final Fantasy XIV

The Secret World

Wildstar

I'm currently playing HOTS which I'm enjoying due to the quick nature of the games, and team based play. World of Warships, which is pretty enjoyable but unfortunately as with most testing phases progress will be wiped. However these games offer nothing long term and are just short term fixes.

Any advice would be great.

What do you want out of a game.

Because I have been playing EVE Online nonstop since it was Launched, and new content  is still being released, even more now the last year and upcoming months. So many things to do there yet (ex)players who complain about being bored there only did the 1 same thing every moment of the day so burned out while they had a million things/directions they could do/go in the game.

    Same with other games.

You played WOW, many players who say WOW is boring only did 2 things: powerleveling to max level and then burn out by doing raids the whole day.

So, what do you want from a game?

Ive been feeling the same with MMORPGs lately, they dont hold my attention for long. But thats a good thing, it just means its time to do other things in my life for the moment, so im enjoying the outdoors, learning guitar and playing some Smite (best moba imo ) when i feel like gaming.

When you stop enjoying something its just your bodies way of saying it wants to do some other stuff for now, so listen to it, and dont try and fight it.

One day youll fall in love with mmos again but for now enjoy the other things in life.

I'm still subscribed to Eve Online for the passive skill training. However Eve, as you know takes a huge amount of time. Ranging from gate camping to nullsec roams etc.

I've done a huge range of playstyles in Eve from Mercs, Blobfests, RvB and solo PVP. The PVE, mining in that game is pretty much mind numbing as once again I'm sure you know. I love the game, however it just doesn't give me that satisfaction I once got from it.

I'm mainly playing with a community that I've been in the past 6-7 years with most MMO's. Unfortunately the scope at which we want to play most games cannot cater for and thus burnouts occur.

I appreciate this maybe a problem and I might need to look elsewhere to ensure that the community drives me forward not the actual game as being honest what game hasn't been released with a torrid of bugs, crap code and crap excuse for a PVP system.
