Issue with the dialogue mission system

I was looking for an MMO that was not to complex on the mechanics side and SWTOR fit the bill with character development but as I have gotten farther into the game I am finding the dialogue mission system the be very annoying.

I love the idea of the chose of responses as this allows you to roleplay and feel that you are part of the story but I have come to the realization it doesn't really matter.

You don't accumulate like or dislike with a person by choosing the nice or dick responses since you never talk to this person again.

What ever organization they work for doesn't seem to track whether you were nice to their agent and thus effect your standing with that organization for future missions or support.

Playing a few characters, I notice after taking the same mission a few times it didn't really matter the response you gave as the NPC said one sentence in response and then went on with the standard dialogue to give you the mission description.

Also, the whole light side dark side system is all kinda wonky, I agree with Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw when reviewing SWTOR and he said "Moral choice systems are bullshit."

I wished the DEVs had gone with the standard mission/quest card that many MMOs use and here is the reason why.

When another MMO decides to make new content, say a new area to adventure in, they gather up some graphic guys and some story guys and some programing guys and get together to design the area, monsters and quest cards.

When Bioware does this they have to add the dialogue writing guys and the voice acting guys to this lot and to my mind this adds a lot more to the time and money need for new content.

Time and money that could be used to fix the spaceship game and come out with new content faster.

So, now that I have that out in the open, anyone agree or disagree?
