I been on wow since open beta. I played EQ, DAOC, The Realm, RO, SB, Horizons, CoH, L2, FFXI, EQ2, and many others... I have connections to get into betas ect....
I will say this one time... World of warcraft is the best MMORPG out in the market as we speak. Whether your starting fresh or a veteran, theres always something to do. And they just added battlegrounds! Only downfall to BG is the waiting line which will be fixed.
The only downfall about the game is the company. Blizzard is known for giving little information about certain areas of whats going on. Server down? They will never say why and when until its liek 30 min from being fixed. But its ot a big deal...
The ONLY people you see complaining are the ones that have no patience. My advice to anyone looking into the game... Buy it, it gives you a free month and I guarentee you will enjoy every second.
Be warning, every class in the game has a role. So know your role before you get to far otherwise you will get the "New Character" curse like I did. =- I have like 25 charaters between levels 25-40... I have yet to find the class that suites my every need.
PS: I have a Friend Signup Key or whatever that is... 10 day trial. but dunno if ill give it out yet. Post here if you are looking into getting the game.

well since there is only 8 class, you should have found the character you enjoy to play no? Maybe deep down, you know the game isn't that fun for you and you just keep rolling new chars
"Alas, the beginings of things!"
I believe Blizzard's goal was to take the best aspects of current and past games, not necessarily to innovate.

Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
