New worlds, new stories and new companions incoming!

This was just posted on EA's website for their E3 presence next week:

  • Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ – The largest story-driven expansion to date, Knights of the Fallen Empire, marks a renewed focus on cinematic storytelling in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The expansion will deliver on the hallmarks of what makes a great BioWare™ game: new worlds to explore, new companions to recruit, and a dynamic story that players will be able to shape based on the choices they make.
Sounds very promising to me! image

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

This game still frustrates me to date. So much good along with so much crap.

Glad to see the income being used for content though. Something Blizzard doesn't do with Wow. I'll give Bioware credit for sticking with what they do best, story, instead of bandwagon genre jumping onto new cash cows.

    You stay sassy!

I think this is a good decision on their part. It highlights what they did well originally and probably is the best way for them to add to the game given its architecture. I imagine the worlds will be corridors, but their more open worlds are just the same thing with larger "rooms," so no foul really.

I think new companions could be really good, maybe allow more than one companion at once for doing dungeons, etc.
