Yeah, you liked the game while the class you where playing was OP giving you the ability to steamroll other players. When said class gets fixed or toned down thus requiring more effort and skill then the game becomes stupid and you become tired.
And please, don't tell me that powertechs and sorcerers wheren't overpowered as hell, just don't.
Also, the hybrid model actually helped the game alot.
Why don't they make this into a singleplayer game? With the Destruction of both the Republic and the Empire(wtf happened?), there won't be much meat to this game. If the worst happens:
They'll destroy the original game content and replace it a la Cataclysm.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Clearing out the useless old content to make way for SWTOR 2, just like the prophet told us would happen.

Holy crap, I never expected it to be that big, or that it would actually be free! (Well, for subs anyway. Which is more than fine by me!)
Thanks for sharing, Mike! Even if someone probably got fired over such a huge mistake lol. Ah well, at least they've still got the trailer to show at E3.
not to worry about the guys job over this "mistake", old fashioned marketing

Welcome swtor 2.
hopefully in Frostbite and real open world
speeders that are actually speeders
and a lot of open world spaaaace
That'd be good, yes.
AS A SINGLEPLAYER GAME. Bioware really can't make multiplayer games for shit-really the same applies to Funcom tbh. They should stick to what they're good at.
I don't see either one happening. They wouldn't be talking about level 60 if that were the case, we'd all start at level 1 again in a different game. Although this level 60 sounds a lot like starting at level 1, since it seems to be carte blanche in many ways. (Even in choosing your companions judging by that description)
Despite all the sneering this site does at the 100+ million dollars they've been making each year, it's nothing to sneeze at, and they stand to make even more with Star Wars upcoming and with them focusing on what they are good at, the story content. The $15 a month that they are getting (plus the money from micro transactions) makes for a pretty good incentive to keep it as an MMO.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
Excited about a new expansion to a very good game. But boost to 60? why? I don't get those boosts.. why would anyone want to miss 60 levels of fun fun fun?
Perhaps the "Start at level 60" mean simply that the expansion starts at level 60 content...
Then again if they're going all out on hooking new people on new episodic content, it'd also make sense to give the newcomers a boost up to the end - TOR as we know it now.

It already basically is. But this way they can charge waaay more for it and have an excuse for sub par combat and graphics, and padded quests.
uh look mommy, a hater! can i keep him? pleeeaaaase

Are all the new npcs and companions going to flirt with me over and over and over? Because, you know, that's what Star Wars was about, flirting with another dude to make a statement.
throw in the Revan expansion too and I might get a 60 day gametime card... still got to hit 55 on all alts so I can wait a bit
If you wait long enough it'll probably happen. (Maybe just before the expansion goes live)
Or at least there'll be some promotion.

I like TOR, I've liked it since beta, yet to say there is nothing wrong with the engine? WHat?
With talk of the new expansion starting at 60 SWTOR 2 is probably out, unless SWTOR 2 refers more to a new engine. After all, why invest all kinds of money in advertising and new content for a game that will be forever hamstrung by it's engine.
But then again, solo oriented story is the one thing the existing engine does fine.

Hard to say really, on one hand R&D on an engine switch would be a lot of work in itself. On top of new content, new advertising, that's quite a bit. On the other hand. This is the year of Star Wars.

If it's so good why is SWTOR the only game that uses it? Even Zenimax scrapped it for ESO. If it's not Unity, Source, Unreal or Cry it's not going to be good.

Damn dude. You live in your own little special world don't you?
Swtor engine is the root of all it's issues. Even the developers have admitted it.
As far as worst business decisions in MMO history SWTOR's engine has got to be up there, maybe not as bad as ncsoft buying Wildstar, but definantly up there.

Aye, storyline mission replaying ability would be a feature that would have me entertaining the idea of subscribing.
They don't need an instant level 60, the current 12x exp. that they are currently applying works just fine for the storyline missions.
This future content sounds pretty compelling though & I'm looking forward to see how good it will be.
