Ultimate Edition (and some roleplay on the side)

FC replaced the former Massive Ed. (base game + content before Venice) with a new bundle called Ultimate Edition. Contains base game + all the content so far (and a cool outfit, plus a few fluff). It's a great deal for newcomers, costs the same 60 bucks of the Massive, but has 4 more Issues and the Sidestories included as well - and actually it's only 42 bucks during the first two weeks.

On the same time it's a slight slap on the face for the old players, especially to those who just bought the Tokyo pack for 30 bucks... hopefully FC will release at least the outfit as a separate offer, because - as cool as it is - the outfit alone is not worth 42 bucks.

For the rp part above in brackets: in an earlier thread Ortwig mentioned the Visible Dark RP event, which was awesome. I planned to write up a short summary about it, but then the LotRO course started and I was way too busy

Luckily one of the writers/organisers of the event started to telling the story in details, alongside with the pictures we managed to retrieve during the investigation missions:

It's a good read, though it's still not the "full picture", there were times when we worked separately, like the part about Kerrin in the Café, I was with the group who went after the other lead in Trans, it was a nice (and sometimes challenging) gameplay to get the information about Aquarius. Obviously those who left with Kerrin (like the narrator in the thread linked above) only saw the end result, when we arrived back to the Café with the name.

Latest post was yesterday, covering the part when we learned about the Twins. Funny thing is, the story is still only about 50-60% so far... it was a pretty long investigation, the event took several (maybe 5?) hours.

Personally can't wait to read it all, the posts contain some nice additional infos I've missed during the play... for example, I knew it was odd that I died much more times than I expected during the pvp fight against Aquarius, good to know that one of the players took the opportunity and got some sneaky kills on us. The bastard
