After last week's flurry of rumors, Bandai Namco has officially announced that Dark Souls III is happening and that it will be released in early 2016. To show off the game, the team released a cinematic trailer at this week's E3. Check it out!
I guess something must have happened to the chosen undead after uniting the crowns thus becoming immune to the curse. the question is did he light a new age or simply walk away like suggested by the scholar of the first sin. Perhaps it doesn't really matter since eventually even the embers would fade away. I'm not surprised this is going to be the last game in the souls series, since the souls series doesn't really have anywhere to go. Eventually all flames fade away, except for one who wears the crown of the true monarch.
So is this meant to be more of a sequel to the first Dark Souls, or another section of the world apart from those two games entirely?
...now only embers remain makes it sound like a continuation of the first DS after the defeat of Gwyn, and the player letting the First Flame die out to bring about the Age of Man.
AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!
We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.
