Hi Preston especially! :D

I found most of the reviews quite disturbing. 90% of the people didn't even bother to read the FAQ- in the community forums. It just shows that most of the community is composed of holier-than-thou 14 year olds who think they know everything. The fact is, they're being ripped off by companies like Blizzard. Grinding is the equivalent of counting grains of sand on the beach.

Again, naysayers please read the community FAQ [and look at WB's wonderful collection of screenies and devlogs] before crying vaporware. You would just look unbelievably stupid doing otherwise.

Addendum-

DARKFALL WILL BE DONE WHEN ITS DONE. The devs owe nothing to you, and especially you.

Great post! This is so true, " Grinding is the equivalent of counting grains of sand on the beach."
The thing is there's a huge number of younger folks playing WoW and SWG who are completely new to MMORPG's and haven't figured it out yet. They will in time...

i hope a huge number of younger people don't ruin DF... that would be very sad for the game and to everyone. i hope within this game they will learn for sure and quickly before it doesn't go downhill. but then again you could just take your clan and wipe em out or somthing but... i hope it just doesn't take the games spice away.

I wouldnt worry about the younger people ruining it (although they ruined WoWs community).  The game really doesnt cater to the whiney 12 year olds, and the forums are all filled with mature people, who can actually have a conversation.  Im sure if a small group of whiney 12 year olds make it in, they will get smacked around a bit.

as a 6 year vet (Am I a vet yet?) of mmorpgs, I am 19. started mmorpgs when I was 14 (my birth day is soon) and I must say that young people do not ruin a game. Take for example Shadowbane, that game was great until ruined with such lag that nobody could even comprehend why they tried. I have never seen a game that was ruined by younger players - especially a game like DF, I've been waiting for DF for 2 years now and I will still ask, where the hell is it?

If younger players want to TRY and "ruin" it, then they will answer to a blade.
