I was interested in seeing what everyone's opinion was of the top 7 MMO's recently discussed in a news article. Please pick the one you favor the most and feel free to share why.

none of the above.. this year has not been good for me and the future is looking equally bleak.
I had fun once, it was terrible.
Blade and Soul please hurry.
Well, I just pulled the same list as the news article on this site, which is why I have an other category.

Ya sorry got that after the fact lol.
My MMORPG of the year so far has been EQ on it's TLP server.
The only other one on that list that begins to appeal is FFXIV.
Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward - Could not get into this game =-
Ark: Survial Evolved - Meh
Trove - Ground breaking and should be on this list. Love what voxels will do to MMOing.
Star Wars the Old Republic - Loved this game till I got sick of the VO for every quest. Why do I need VO for kill 10 rat quests .
Wildstar - Way behind the curve. This should not be on the list, maybe after it gets people playing when its F2P, maybe!
Elder Scrolls Online - Tamreil Unlimited - IMO still not an MMO. Wife and I banged our heads trying to play this one together. Between forced solo quests and things being so phased that 1/2 the time we could not see each other in the open world. The MMOer will not pick up this game ever. WoW has tones of phasing and my wife and I could still team, ESO just did it worng!
This one did. Come out to Cyrodiil and tell me what you think.
ESO and Robocraft are the only two MMOs I've played this year. ESO is my main and Robovraft makes a heck of a change of pass game.
As a huge TES fan I would love to come out to Cyrodill to come kick your butt. I was a huge supporter of this MMO while it was being made but in the end, I play MMOs to team and ESO did a piss pour job on that end. I could list about a dozen areas they messed up on the teaming side of things but I have made my point on why I think it has no right to even be on the list. Im glad people are having fun with it, my list just would not have it.
/facepalm
He's not talking about PVE. ESO is two different games. In Cyrodiil I'm typically grouped and on Teamspeak with 20 or so others including many couples. PVE... yeah, not the most group-oriented MMO ever (although much better now than when you tried it)

Battlegrounds lol. 24/7 never-ending PVP (scores for rewards reset in each server/campaign but nothing else does) in a "zone" that is as big as some other game's "worlds."
And talking smack to the opposition? You seriously think that's a good thing?

I prefer to vote for things like these when the year is almost over, not half-way through. Although, there isn't much that is left for the year: Blade&Soul NA release and Skyforge. Maybe GW2 HOT.
So far this year, I was given a return to TESO weekend which pushed me to try the trial for Wildstar (I beta-ed both games but bought neither because neither were ready, seems right to retry both to see how they evolved). That resulted in me re-installing SWTOR though and I've been enjoying myself doing the class stories. When I saw FFXIV's expac I almost decided to check that again, but then reading about the new expansion reminded me why I left, so I didn't bother.
I bought TESO for super cheap on GreenManGaming yesterday though. I'm skipping Skyforge (I was in beta since the first one in NA, just wasn't impressed). I'm keeping an eye on Blade&Soul...and I'm totally underwhelmed by GW2 expansion that I'm not even bothering to log into the game anymore.
So my TOP of 2015 would be SWTOR followed by TESO I guess. Blade&Soul might get added once I get to play it.

Any game with battlegrounds is dull pvp. Especially faction-based. And even worse, you can't talk to the other faction.

You mean 24/7 no risk on dieing pvp with capturing territory that gives no rewards to help make your character stronger and race to be on top. Also if this "zone is as big as other game worlds", I'm assuming you mean the instanced-solo only trash on the market today.
I could do the same thing with this game -
And yes, talking trash to your enemy is fun and promotes more pvp.
Oh pardon me, din't realize you were hardcore and play with "real penalties." So which hardcore, open world "gank the lowbee" game do you actually play?

Same question to you. Which game do you actually play. I always see you talking smack about games you hate for one reason or another. So which non-carebear game is it you actually enjoy playing right now?

Same here except I did play more game genre's then RPG alone. But MMORPG's have left me waiting.
Did a few runs in ESO beginning of this year but to many enjoyable singleplayer games have caught most of the my time.
I did finish The Witchers main story last weekend with 219 hours spend. And still have plenty to do.....
Waiting for the re-launch by Rocksteady for the pc version of Batman Arkham Knight....
As it stands now it looks like I might come up with a top 5 in the year 2017/2018 and also think 2016 might be a very dissappointed MMORPG year, think mostly with either delay's or very bad launches. Of course I hope for 100% that I would turn out to be wrong with what I think about 2016 and that that year might actually suprise me.......
SW:TOR for me. I love the stories, and enjoy the multiplayer activities they have as well.
That being said, the poll's pretty much looking like I expected it to. Although I imagine GW2 would have been in the top 3 if it was on the list (since it's incredibly popular on these boards) instead of just sharing a spot with "Other" as it is now.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Well this is a mid-year poll, and the new expansion hopefully will be out this year so when the end of the year polls go around, it should score very well.
As I mentioned, I just used the same 7 games the MMORPG site did to see how the results might compare, I even mixed up the order some as to try to not influence the results with their poll.

Only game i have yet to try is TESO ,but since every one of those other games severely disappointed me,i see no reason to be a sucker one more time and fork over money for TESO.I need to start seeing some free trials,so many games are just so bad they are not worth to play free let lone for any money.
I would not use the term BEST of with any of these games, well unless TESO could surprise the heck out of me,i doubt it.
