Any upcoming MMOs like EQ2?

I was wondering if there are any upcoming MMORPG that are like EQ2.

I really liked EQ2 for allot of reasons, the game had such a massive amount of content and because of the AA system I never felt the need to rush to end game. I enjoyed the heritage quests and the public dungeons and loved how some of the public dungeons were so long and even had hidden instances in them. Every time I leveled a new character I would discover a new area I have never seen before and even at low levels you could find small raids.

The AA system was really cool, it was great to be able to really develop my characters build at low levels and then to continue doing so even when I reached max level.

I also really loved that a great chunk of content could not be soloed,  you had to have a group and it forced people to play together which helped really create a wonderful community.

I was hoping that another MMO will in the future recreate that magic for me. I had hopes for EQN but from everything I have seen it looks way too sand boxy which is fine but I prefer a really well structured theme park MMO.

You would be hard pressed to find a old mmo or up and coming mmo like EQ2. No other mmo has the range of classes or races and content thati EQ2 has.

And that's not including the vast amount of lore. So your answer is a big fat NO.

I figured that was the case its sad really. MMOs have just turned into a rush to reach max level with not much content in between to get us by. I loved playing EQ2 and simply taking my time and enjoying the vast amount of content and lore inbetween.

The 2 I am aware of are :

    1. Pantheon : Rise of the Fallen

    2. Saga of Lucimia

Both look to be promising, so long as they simply get finished. They both have claimed to be getting released 2017 (if I recall correctly), but I am assuming they will not likely get released until 2018-2019. Pantheon, I believe is pushing for alpha (which will be available to those whom support them through their official website https://www.pantheonrotf.com/ ). to be released late this year to early next year. Beyond those, Citadel of Sorcery might also be one to watch.

Beyond that, there are the old mmorpgs, or at least the ones that have not been closed down yet. I happen to have both EQ and EQ2 myself. Personally, if Vanguard was still around, that would be the game I would be playing.

Are you expecting the production values that EQ2 had back in the day? Back then it had the graphics of a Single Player game and cost a lot of money to make. These days every MMO is a low budget almost indie like state.

They are starting two new time locked servers of EQ2 on the 21st of this month, one PvE and the other PvP,so you could play one of those if you feel you want to start on an equal footing as everyone else.

You need to have a sub to play there though.I will be using Krono from my toons on AB server (which I don't play any more) so basically someone else is paying my sub :) I'm going to go on the PvP server for fun while I wait for a game but I see nothing that is due to be released in the next 2 years that I even want to try.

    Keeping an eye on
