The MMO survival list

Name your 5 first to mind MMO games you still play, even though the consensus is, MMO  games are going to hell in a hand cart.

Mine,

EVE Online - not playing right now but I'd be a liar if I said I was done with it. She is a wicked soul I will never be free of.

LotRO - I always go back. It's a solid world, it's very polished. It's easy to get back in to no matter how long I have been gone. and it's free to log in.

Tera - because Elin and Castanic and boobies. and free. Free pixel boobies.. woot.

FF14 - the crafting.. it's all about the crafting, even though it isn't any more.

Guild Wars 2 - it's installed.. I don't actually play it but it's there...

    • Guild Wars 2 - one of my favourite MMORPGs. It's so refreshing to play after years of WoW.
    • FlyFF - really flawed game but one of my first MMORPGs and I love it.

That's about it right now, 2/5. I'm planning on getting Final Fantasy 14 and ESO later this year. I could never really play more than 1 or 2 MMORPGs at a time anyway. 5 would be super hard to balance!

If I were to add MMORPGs that I have installed and am likely to play again -

    • WoW - nearly 2000 hours on this baby. One of my most played!
    • TERA - I just downloaded this but the oversexualised girls and animations kind of puts me off so I'm not so sure about it. (in the character creation screen for the 'Gunner' class the girl is literally humping her gun...)

FFXI - I hate this game, and yet I keep going back to it, its the masochistic relationship that you know is bad for you but you put up with for the good parts.

FFXIV - I love this game the atmosphere the music the story

    SWTOR - As above

Rift - I hate Trion, I love my Chloromancer and my dimension

DCUO - Bought a Life time sub at launch, have not regretted it yet.

GW2- But I really have to be in the mood, and I usually don't stay long.

Vanilla WoW- Best we have, I only go back if I know i'll stay for a good amount of time, make friends and enjoy the community.

SWGEmu - Community, crafting & cred.

ESO - It's The Elder Scrolls,  why wouldn't you want to play it?

FFXIV - I like the elegant dance that are their dungeons. See also; Lala.

The Repop - Apparently I have too much money & time.

GW2 - It's free, the shortcut is on my desktop... and I still can't bring myself to play it.

    WoW

WildStar (I like it, but I just can't see paying for it when I already have WoW)

Interested in Ark but will wait until actual release (been burned too many times)

Really just don't like anything else out right now

I have tried ESO, GW2, Aeon, Rift, EVE, EQ, EQII, Champions Online, SWTOR, DCU

Things I haven't tried but am also not willing to try: Trove and anything else with 3d commodore 64 characters.
