Looking for MMORPG with only 1 character slot

Sweetroll_BanditSweetroll_Bandit Member CommonPosts: 2

I'm looking for an MMO that limits an account to 1 character slot, where there is more world simulation with a skill base/point system and a less class based system.

I've played EverQuest, Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Earth and Beyond, Dark Age of Camelot, EverQuest 2, World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, EVE Online, Neocron, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and The Elder Scrolls Online.

My play style is Casual. I prefer exploration activities. I don't want an MMORPG that encourages alts.

Build a time machine, go back in 2003 and enjoy SWG at its glory years.

Skyforge. Is not classless but you can swap to any class at any moment so you don't need to commit to 1

Age of Wushu / Age of Wulin.  First one is US servers, second is Europe server. Originally chinese game in a kind of medieval china setting, based on wuxia novels. Pvp oriented sandbox game. Some unusual game mechanics, there are kind of classes but combat skill system is somehow double tracked and skills can be achieved on other ways too. You can join npc factions to learn faction skills. Skills can be learned by 'stealing' skill books in pvp raids. Skill books are tradeable.

One crafting occupation per character possible.

Exploring the world may trigger 'random encounters' which give hidden side quests and achievements.

I'm taking a group into Darkfall Unholy Wars (many for the first time), to start fresh from scratch. It's primarily a PvP based game, comparable to EVE in full loot and territorial control. 1 Character slot. Third person/ First person free-aim combat. No tab targeting whatsoever.

Hundreds of mob spawns in a fully open non-instanced world, most have associated experience bonuses for hunting. You allocate your experience into ANY attribute, skill or weapon or crafting proficiency in the game in ANY order you want. You equip 9 abilities at a time (+all the commons) and can swap them out for whatever class you feel like playing. Player cities, *very* limited instant travel, massive world.

Cool exploration things like rare "relics" that appear in the world. If you find them you can transport  (then destroy) them at an altar at center map and become as strong as three players for an hour, or sell/equip them in a city for clan buffs.

What makes exploring fun for me is risk and reward. And that can only truly come from players, in a PvP game.

PM me if you wanna talk about it or tag along with our group. 7 so far.
