Instruments And Music

Anyone know if there are going to be instruments ingame or hinted at all?

Id love to be able to find pieces of a guitar, put it together or find a guitar in a vault somewhere.

Just to be wanering the dunes with it on your back, desperado style.

Or sitting on the porch of your hovel in a small outpost in the wastes of the new earth , strumming a tune as a bunch of bad ass mercs wander into town and walk past you, givin' you the evil eye!!

Also, music wise ... I was wondering what the ingame music might be like, not soundtrack wise, but like player music.

If there were instruments there'd be some system for playing them. (The swg one sounds lame but works)

But a dream idea that popped into my head and something that i've always thought would be interesting about a post-apocolyptic world, would be finding records. Or some form of recordings of music from before your time.

If you had managed to piece together a record player or find one or salvage from a vault, all over the earth there might be records (Or datadiscs or something, depending on when the world ended) which hold recordings.

It would be truly awesome and add some real neat RP content if that was in fallen earth. Hey I can dream.

Imagine finding a new disc and making the long journey back to your outpost , not being able to wait to play what is on the disc.... might even find its something to do with technologys and not music at all.

But it'd be cool to be able to all enjoy the disc together, as a group or community.

Would something like that ever be possible ingame, and anyone read any hints to do with instruments?

I haven't heard or seen anything to do with instruments or anything you're talking about. I think it would be cool to see though, a few Six-string samurai walking around. In game music and other entertainment definately adds to the enviroment and RP aspect.

Even if these were added solely for novelty that would me amazing.

I can just imagine, the first MMO game with a composition system, where you actually set a tempo and string notes together, and then play them with hotkeys or something.

I know I'm getting way far ahead of myself, seeing as this hasn't even been mentioned by Icarus, but one can dream!
