well you made it a lot farther then I have..... I did not make it past the 2nd week.... I like the game BUT I can't keep doing the same quests 3 or 4 times before I can move on to the next one.

So far having a blast with this game. I am over 5k+ prestige, ran the first two 5 man dungeons and unlocked the slayer class.

Yes you run a maps multiple times if it has a high spark multiplier. in WoW all we did was run the dungeon of the day so we could get our tokens to buy new gear. It is the same concept in a different shell.

No guide and I figured out everything I had to do when I read the quests I think if anything Skyforge holds your hand a bit too much early on. The boss fights get more interesting around 3k prestige.

Dungeons felt like a good challenge. I was DPS:Slayer when i ran them but I still had to be mindful of the group and not just spam the best dps cycle over and over, I had to be concerned about interrupts, dodging AoE and at times zone out a mob if our tank died and the mob was charging at the squishy casters.

I devote about an hour or two a night to this game and it is really fun. Classes feel unique and even the Adept system has enough impact on your character to keep you interested on that management.

I could be playing this game all wrong but I have not yet repeated anything a dozen times. At most it has been 5 and I have gone back I was told to go there to meet someone and I simply went in and cleared to that area and left. I pick other maps and as more open I do them. I do understand there is some repetition but not to the extent you all seem to be foisted with. I do the open areas and some I do over a course of two days. I have not yet become this tired of the repetition I'm beginning to wonder if I've missed some aspect out . I am about 2.5 k prestige now.

You seem to be on par with the course. I've never repeated anything in the same day and as you stated i made the open worlds drag out a day or two and never once have I had to repeat them and I am over 5k prestige currently.

Maybe i am just older and wiser,i realized this was nothing more than a boring grind in  the first hour i played.

Also the Ascension Atlas is the worst design i have seen when compared to every other game doing the same thing.

It is like if i gave FFX or POE an 8/10 for their Atlas, this game's would be a 1/10.

Itemization...where?A severe lack of gear/weapons there is just little to get excited about.

I don't get excited about a grind to unlock some class,i also don't mind if a game does it but it has to be for some greater purpose to which this game does not have that.Simple purpose grind>unlock thanks for playing. At least attaining level 30 in FFXI to unlock advanced classes had a purpose, those same classes offered versatility as a sub class,so they were never a waste of time.In this game i see players unlocking a new class then forget about the old one forever.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Completely depends on whether or not you enjoy the combat.  If you like the combat, it's fun to just play, particularly if you don't really care how much you progress each day.  If you don't like the combat, the game is not going to be fun no matter what.  It will certainly feel like a grind if you're just playing to unlock nodes in the Ascension Atlas.

I can defiantly see how someone looking for a game with solo story immersion and exploration experience or wanting a complicated crafting/market system would be disappointed by this game.

But as someone who was looking for and instanced based small scale RPGPvP experience that is not overly weighed down by 50-80 hours of solo story or a large and complicated gear grinding fest prior to enjoying the PvP experience, this game has turned out to be a little blessing for me.

The biggest problem I have with this game, is that if you can't stand to play any of the three starter classes, you will probably give up on the game before you make it to a class you do enjoy. This is probably only a huge problem for people that only enjoy melee classes. If you like ranged classes, or you just don't mind how much slower you progress by playing a support or tank class, then you won't have a problem. But if you want to play melee and feel like you are killing things at an acceptable pace, then you are SOL.
