FFXIV: ARR - LF companions/RaF

So as the title says I am looking to get back into the game and would love to get off on the right foot with some new companions to travel with. I have been gone for over a year so I really have to start over on what buttons do what and this and that. I play on a bit of a populated/always full server so I'm willing to try and start up on a new server as well. I'd like to get a new recruit to the game for a RaF but it's not something that is a huge deal to me if you already have an account and are looking to level with or group with someone. ^^

 

The server I mainly play on is a RP server. I wouldn't mind getting some more rp contacts in the game as well or RaF'ing with a new player wanting a bit of a foot in for the rp scene of FFXIV.

I quit playing about a year ago as well,however i have not the itch to go back because i don't like item level gaming.

Instead i got bored after many years of FFXI and needed a change so i went back to the new time lock servers for EQ2.

It seems good so far.

My point is to not steer you away from FFXIV but to toss another option out there.IMO these are the three best games out there EQ2,FFXI and FFXIV.

Anyhow best of luck on your adventure,you really are going about it the right way,find some static people to hang with that you can rely on,your gaming experience will be 50x better for it.

Thanks ^^ I enjoyed it but I got burnt out as the people I played with left over a period of time and all. I want to go in with people to play with and branch out form there.

Hey there, me and some friends just recently got into the game, we had to make chrs, then transfer to the server: Balmung is a very popluated server, always find a party to do something, if you find yourself on balmung give me a tell    ingame name is:   Silent Devotion. and if your intrested in getting a refer code, just send me a msg here, and ill send you one. the x-pac is awesome, great time to get back in. I use to mainly play on Balmung but I know that server can be a pain for new players, if I happened across anyone willing to try the game out for a first go, to get on. I'm still installing the game at the moment so I can't play much tonight. Probably will be more on tomorrow.

balmung is in no way bad for new players, when i downloaded and started playing i was on jenova, no fate parties, server seemed dead, blah right? did some research gilgamesh, balmung, and one other server had a great population, In the end i chose Balmung for the simple fact that most RP servers are always active, and usually nice. Got my wife and friends to download the game and transfer to this server, great decision, always gate grps, or other grps for trials//raids in the party finder. only been in the game 2 weeks, but this server seems great, and helpful

No no! Not bad just hard to get on at times. I've noticed people complaining it's still a bit of a hassle to get on so I was going off of that. I love my server. Though I am a rp'er as well so it's either Balmung or the other main rp server.

Oh no the wait isn't a issue I haven't had any issues getting in. I mean new players to the server.

I'd like to try, but I would need us to start/play together, since I really don't wanna solo.
