    Okay.  Addendum to my previous post.

    I used the Mark All Viewed option, and it promptly reset all viewed counts on all threads.  However, since someone posted a new message on the 50-page Star Citizen thread, I now see a green box telling me that there are 400+ unviewed messages.   I'm not interested in manually paging through 20+ pages of old messages just to get the green New Messages indicator to go away on this thread.  I expected the 'Mark All Viewed' function to reset the unviewed messages used by the green New Message box, so that probably should count as a broken feature.

    Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

    1. When I press "preview", the text I just wrote is gone, and only the full text I quoted (that I cut short) is back.

    2. I cannot edit my postings, but I can fav them (Insightful, Awesome etc), as if they wouldnt be my own.

    Their was nothing wrong with the Old Forums.

    Now If I click on a forum, It auto brings me to the bottom of the page, or worst it auto brings me to a middle of a page or a random page of that forum.

    What's with the auto crap, I like to control this my self !

    Two computers, both using Windows 7, so it's not me.

    Found the edit function ... didnt expected it to be in the upper right corner, so I have no idea if it was there before, or not.

    I can see edited dates but I can't see posted dates of comments?

    When I log into the site (the root, not the forum), it says "1 MORE MSG" on top. But when I click on that, it says "NO MSGS".

    P.s.: Oh and that problem with not seeing preview is gone. Thx for fixing !

    P.p.s.: What size should avatar icons have, ideally, anyway ? That 2KB limit is kind of quite steep, by the way.

    Polls round numbers down to a full percent when calculating how many % a poll option has votes. As result the sum of all those percentages is constantly less than 100%. In a large poll like
    http://forums.mmorpg.com/discussion/440539/do-you-contribute-financially-to-the-games-you-play/p1
    the sum is only 95% at the time I'm writing this.

    Could you change it to round the numbers to nearest full percent instead of just cutting the decimal part for better accuracy?

    Thank you for responding Mike, but shouldn't the avatar section be reserved for data relating to the avatar in general and not the specific post?  I would suggest moving the FULL data and time stamp for every post into the body of the actual post.  Because for example when there are quotes within quotes we can't see the data and time of each response.   And for when a response goes more than a day old you only see the day it was posted without have to mouse over the date, why make people go through the extra work to gather data? I like to see instantly how active a thread is over the course of a day when looking at previous posts, not just that 10 people posted yesterday but how close together the posts were. I may sound picky but this is how the date time stamp system USED to work and normally works on all forums, why the weird change that hides information?

    Actually its still there, only it doesnt appear all the time. Probably because I keep quoting and pasting multiple quotes into the same final posting.

    Also: when I quote a posting, I have to copy the whole posting and paste it back, or I cant get into the line below the quote to enter any text. No biggie ... just a bit weird.

    Time parameter seems broke when posting youtube links that gets "auto-embedded".

    Example below:

    I would like to know which games they are talking about in Recent forums activities... I only see topics and to know what game the topic is about, I must click on it, but I would like to know first if it is a game a like so I won't west time clicking on it.

    Using HTML view it's possible to do some nice tricks, like switching font color, but, but if you enter the non-html editor all the formatting that's not supported by the non-html version is lost.

    It's a bit problematic if I want to edit such post later. I can't even click Edit button without losing the formatting.

    This is what quoting my post just above looks like. The forum loses <font color="red"> and everything after it when I try to quote.

    EDIT: It looks like the problem with quoting can be circumvented by switching the post editor to HTML view before clicking quote buttong, problem with editing a post that uses HTML formatting can't be solved that way /EDIT

    @MikeB  any time i click "quote", it scrolls down to the bottom quick comment area, and immediately scrolls back up to the post i was quoting. i don't know if this is intentional but it's quite odd. thanks

    I've noticed that I've accidentally clicked an "awesome" or "like" button. There should be (at least for a short time) a way to undo it. Preferably something next to those buttons or in the popup where your name shows up.
  • VrikaVrika Member LegendaryPosts: 7,990
    @Kilrain ;

    Just click the button again to undo your like

    I really miss the ability to change font colors. Often times, I'll reply to a long post inline to the original text, and I liked either changing the quotee's font color or my own, to make our words easily distinguishable.

    Even just a few colors that contrast well against black/grey would work... orange, yellow, cyan, pink, etc.

    (I know HTML/CSS, and could go into HTML View, but that's silly.)

    Everyone did, there was something they were trying to fix, so they disabled everyone's access to any profiles. Is it working now? It is for me.

    Tiny but annoying style flaws.

    http://forums.mmorpg.com -> Left sidebar with "popular games" is 1px off the top and a different border color than the right content.

    Suggested fix:

    .popularGames .cpa {
      margin: 5px 4px 4px 6px;
      border: 1px solid #32363a;
    }

    Same thing with the image boxes below that:

    Suggested fix:

    .popularGames li{
      padding: 5px 6px 4px 6px;
    }

    .popularGames li a {
      border: 1px solid #32363A;
    }
