    WAR wasn't really vaporware though, the problem is just that I don't think anyone at Mythic ever played more GW products than maybe a little Blood bowl. WAR was very loosely based on the miniature game and they should have based in on the RPG game instead, preferably after forcing the crew to play "The enemy within" campaign to really get a feel for the IP.

    It is too bad, actually changing careers as you play would have been awesome.
    So confusing to talk about warhammer with so many product,

    I'm actually talking about this

    Warhammer MMO by Climax (not Mythic)

    Funny note: They were planning large open world with dynamic npcs and environment. Pretty much what most of us are looking for today.

    Granted it's not really creating a class, but I'd really love to have a class like Bluemage in FFXI. I loved having to go around and learn spells from mobs. Was a lot of fun, and then selecting which ones you wanted to slot for passive abilities and whatnot. Was great fun and making me want to play it again. ._.;
    Vanguard had this for certain class skills. You had to attack mob and once the mob used a certain skill you had to learn it.

    I had forgotten that one, yeah it was a real pity (I heard GW screwed them over and though Mythic would make a better job).

    I hope someone would give a new go at Warhammer fantasy,it is an awesome setting and focusing on the enemy Within would make a real cool MMORPG campaign.

    Funny enough could Wow really have been set in it, the original Warcraft were originally made to be Warhammer but GW didn't believe in Blizzard and refused them the license, so they changed it a bit so GW couldn't sue them.

    A proper Warhammer would be amazing. So many directions you could go and so many different classes and settings to draw from. Never got into the Warhammer MMO that was released. Never felt.....Warhammer enough?
    Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Well, besides Altdorf but GW forced them to revamp it.

    The thing with using an excisting IP is that if you don't really love and know the setting the game will never feel right. I think WAR actually lost on using the Warhammer IP, I would probably have been judge it far better if they used a custom IP but now I just look on what it could have been.

    All I can say is many of these wants could be easily solved with a game that provides a great deal of customization with characters and power combos.  Again, we had this already this but....
