For a moment I was interested in a new Star Wars game. Then I read mobile only MMO. Lost all interest now.
So when are we going to get a new Star Wars game again?
Star Wars Battlefront has no server listings on the PC because its a direct console port to PC. So that doesn't count.
Yeah this looks pretty weak for a MMO. Stupid too, considering it takes place right after the more popular era.
Im not sure how the open skill system will progress. You start out with a gun/smuggler char when I would like to play a Jedi. Maybe one day you can progress to that. Myself I think after revenge of the sith and the order being rebuilt would be more a settings I would like to play.
I've tried about 20 mobile games and they've all been tedious or P2W.
The only one that's kept my attention for more than about two days is Fallout Shelter, and that's 90% name recognition combined with the fact that it's low maintenance. I can check in on my shelter 3 times a day and everything will be cool.

Only mobile game that keeps me playing is Cash of Clans. We will see.
I can't stand Daniel Erickson. The guy is completely oblivious...
The dude pretty much laughed at everyone who wanted to "feel like part of the world" during the development of SWTOR.
SWTOR was a flop. While it does have a current and small player base, it's absolutely nothing to what this game could have been. The reason it hasn't been shut down as of yet is because it's a Star Wars title. If the same game was anything else, it would be gone by now.
Haha I love these desperate SWTOR haters spouting their ignorance even in threads that aren't even about swtor.
SWTOR is a flop? What almost five year in and their "small player base" continues to put it in the top revenue category of western mmorpg! Man you guys are hilarious.

It falls under the category of popular rubbish, which is an oft seen phenomenon in the real world. There's only one outlet for Star Wars MMO gaming and the merest touch of that franchise equals instant income. SWTOR is as close to slapping the Star Wars logo on a monkey turd as you can get. Thanks for being a turd patron.
MMORPG players are often like Hobbits: They don't like Adventures

WIth an IP as good as SW, they could have had a much larger following. By default SW fans are left with one option, ToR. I think if SWG was still running ToR would not have done as well. Think if SWToR was as quality as WoW or EVE, what numbers would it have pulled in then? Millions were following ToR and they ended up with 300-500k. Good net for any MMO but SW. SW is would renown.

It is not flop, it is milking SW name, if it were to flop lucas and disney would have crumbled. I am an active subscriber because i have made some very good friends here and also i like how easy the game is, i can easily take the most casual of my guildmates to raid here unlike many other mmorpg. I never liked SW but there are fans who are spending 1000$ every month and they are not just 10 or 20 people. Well 10-20 people in official forums claimed they spend that much and they always wait for new gambling pack to arrive. And that is just them, most people don't even come to official forums, they are fine just opening packs getting their new shiny costume or mount and show off in fleet. Milking whales : that is what SWToR is in a nutshell.

Swg had 7000 people playing on a Friday night in 2006. Seeds never denied this. Sorry Swg closed b cause it wasn't any good there is a reason no mmorpgs have succeeded when they have tried to implements Swg features, and it's why devs have stopped trying.
Now we are left with ignorant Swg vets like Arch spamming every thread with their five year old talking points.
Good thing most Swg vets have moved on but now we are left with the most desperate ones who will be QQing about swtor for the next decade as it's healthier than ever and won't be closing anytime soon...
@Tasslehoff35 LOL, so tens of millions of fans world wide, ToR gets millions of people following it and it nets 300-500k people playing and thats a win? If they had made a game as good as WoW or EVE, they would have way more people subbing. Sure as an MMO they made it, as a SW MMO they failed hard.

Abosute trash. You think swtor is one of the top mmorpgs in revenue year after year because a few people in the forums claim they spend a bunch of money? That hilarious yeah you believe everything you read on Internet forums? Like a guy who apparently is a subscriber and calls the ops "raids". Ok what sever you on? What's the name of your guild? Are they ranked in conquest? Do you know what conquest is?

@nanfoodle now I have no issues with either WoW or eve. See if I ever got to point in my life where I was QQing over a VIDEO GAME I don't play I would need to reevaluate where I went wrong in life.
As for the two games you mentioned both are currently seeing the fastest drop in player base in the games history.
If if you think swtor failed hard as a sw mmo I'd love to hear your take on Swg as swtor in four years has blown Swg out if the water in every measurable category available to determine a successful mmorpg.

FYI, have played. Followed the game 5 years before it released and will be back again soon to play some more. I enjoy the game, no QQing here. FACT is, it could have been way better. So much potential and they just 1/2 assed it. My point, even at 1/2 ass its the only SW MMO so its the only place to get that fix. If Blizzard had made the SW game and put the effort they did into SWToR with millions of man hours. The results would make the current game look sad. You dont see that? Oh sorry you dont understand the difference between calling out and providing actual facts to the QQers who post ignorant inaccurate information over and over about a VIDEO GAME they dont play VS those who post ignorant, inaccurate information about a VIDEO GAME they dont play.

The problem with you little kiddo is that you claim that anyone who talks bad about your little brother SWTOR is someone that doesn't play the game. You have zero facts. You just stand that strawman up and knock it down every time someone says they don't like something about the game. Soon as you can show me actual proof that those of us who don't like the game never played it then come with it.
I don't like brussels sprouts. I hate those little green motherfuckers. About every five years someone tells me about how good they make their brussels sprouts and if I don't like them, then I should really try them again the way they make them.
Same with SWTOR. I bought it, then I played it for three months. I came back for the first two expansions and I came back for the space PVP. Every time Electronic Assholes/BioFail sent me an email offer about their new expansion, telling me how they've made the game so much better, I came back and tried it. Since it came out I've probably played it every day for a good 6-7 months, with four 55's on the on the Jedi side and two 55's on the sith side.
Just like brussels sprouts, I have come to a realization that no matter what they season or cook this game, it's still terrible. So you can peel that bright white armor off, hang it up on the wall and have your squire walk that high horse you rode in on back to the stable, cause I ain't hearing it.

Some of us just don't like SWTOR so,
Then stop crying about it. When I was 7 I stopped enjoying micro machines. Did I jump in forums crying about how I didn't like micro machines anymore? No I moved on with my life like a big boy, maybe you should try that. Or was I more mature at 7 then a couple of you swtor haters are now at adulthood?
As for saying those who cry about it don't play it well it's fairly easy to tell and for the most part I'm 100% correct. Like in your case little buddy you have six level 55s so it's safe to say you haven't played swtor in about two years? Because the new level cap is 60 soon to be 65...But yet here you are still crying about how you don't like it. I am also not sure if a healthy, mature grown adult would level 6 toons in a VIDEO GAME that was terrible.
Nobody cares if you think it's crap good for you but why jump on every thread crying about how you don't like a game you don't play ?
I will continue to call out those like you who have this weird awkward failing crusade against a video game they don't play...as your little pic states...deal with it.
Again nice try but another complete fail post by you.

Well I wanted to hate this game as I stated above DE IMO is a big reason why SWToR was so messed up. Well SW-Uprising is fun. There is even some depth there with skills and building your own class from mixing and matching skills. Crew missions for offline play. I got level 14 this weekend and so far its a little gem. Only draw back is its 75% a solo game and would have loved to see you able to progress teamed. IMO its worth playing.

If IPs mattered in MMORPGS, LOTRO, Conan, Star Trek, FFXIV, Marvel Heroes, DC comics all would have beat WoW. But that is not the case, the truth is if you compare SWTOR to these and any other MMORPG besides WoW its right up there at the top. Sorry those are the facts, call me a fanboy all you want but it wont change the facts.
Some of us just don't like SWTOR so,
As for saying those who cry about it don't play it well it's fairly easy to tell and for the most part I'm 100% correct.
Oh, your that consumer!
