What's with the spandex armour?

And just who is going to model, texture, animate and debug these high quality armors?

You do know that it would take a lot of time and money to make high quality versions of every armor in the game right?

And what would be the pay off for Bethesda? A few PC players feel better about their epeen?

Also, no one cares about cloaks or capes. Too many players disable cloaks because they block them from being able to see their character.

Which makes your primary complaint even funnier. You want higher quality armor but you also don't want to see the armor because a cloak is in the way. Hilarious.

When I played, I thought the game quite pretty and initially I liked the graphics and the art style. Then I started feeling that something about the characters was a bit off but didn't quite know what.. until I realized that armour is (except for certain armour parts) just a skin placed on top of the avatar's model. The waist circumference of the character is the same with a bare stomach as when wearing full plate. While my character had looked good during character creation, it looked super thin when in armour.

I'm not saying that this is a fatal flaw of the game, gamebreaking or any such thing (I didn't play on for long but for other reasons). I'm just wondering: was this just a way to cut corners or was this necessary to get good performance or something? As I said, overall the game looks good but this thing was a bit of an eyesore.
Is anyone else bothered by this?
You are complaining about the armor?  Talk about a nitpicker that has to take the cake. If you are so taken with graphics go play one of the over stylized eastern MMO's they have great graphics but little content.

Graphic critics are just so clueless about what a good game entails.

I don't think it's a major issue by any means, but I do know what you mean about the spandex armor.  It's more an issue with me with some of the npc's.  Some of them I really couldn't tell if they were wearing anything or if they were supposed to have tattooed skin or what.  Like I said, not a major issue for me, and I think ESO is one of the better mmo's out at the moment, but it looks a little off at times.

I think it's a big issue and I'm glad that more people are speaking up about it.  Skyrim was pretty fantastic graphically, and ESO is failing for that mark. I think this is a big part of why the game ended up doing as bad as it has for popularity.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

A lot of reviews talked about how the armor was rendered when the game launched.  How it looked painted on.  But there were bigger problems at the time like the game logging you into someone else's account, duping, and bots everywhere.
