Sith Inquisitor advanced class question

MMOman101MMOman101 Member UncommonPosts: 1,787
I am running through all of the class stories right now with the 12x XP.  I am on the Sith Inquisitor and would like some advice.

For people who have play sorcerer and assassin, what class do you feel was more fun to play.  Mt goal is to level relatively quickly so I can get through as many class as I can in the 60 day time card that I bought.

Thanks in advance.

When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

The sorcerer is super flashy with a simple rotation and is great for endgame content. My current main is an Assassin, but she's a tank. Sin tanks are really fun to play, with a huge variety in abilities, but I'm not too sure how viable they are at endgame. If it's DPS vs. DPS, Sorcerer wins for me hands-down.  Hope that helps!

I have heard that the sorcerer is super fast if they are lightening speced, or whatever it is.  Someone told me when they played they would just  use the lightening attack that hits multiple targets and they just ran through enemies.  Not sure if that is still the case.

I am not planning on playing endgame.  I doubt I will play past ~51.  Just trying to do the main class story lines.

I have a Sorc and Assassin that I have played pretty evenly. The Sorc is far and away the "more powerful" but, somehow, the Assassin is more "fun".

I think it's because the Assassin can stealth, and thus skip any crap he doesn't want to engage, moving right to the "big fights". The Sorc has to wade through everything, which he can do, being as powerful as he is.

i prefer the assassin. you got stealth to skip trash if you like and if you specc hatred you can dispatch packs of mobs pretty fast aswell. sorc is nice if you just want to relax and turret i guess.

I had fun once, it was terrible.

Sorcs are EZ mode for sure, in almost all situations.  Some nice animations too, heck of a lot better than the Sage.  Also, if you ever PVP, heal sorcs can be an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Thanks for the comments.  I am not sure what I am going to pick.  I have only 3 classes left to finishes and over 4 weeks left so I think I may play both.  I might try and play one or two stories twice and just play as both advanced classes.

After this all I have left is trooper and bounty hunter, but my BH is already 31.  Might restart another one since I have not played the character in about a year.

Stick to Lightning for Sorc, and Hatred for Sin. As those are the two most satisfying specs for their respective specializations. Also, if you do play both. By going tank on your Sin, you're able to use a DPS or Heal companion for some variation away from Khem for one of your play through. If you do end up doing both, run your Sorc first, and then your Sin. As someone else pointed out, you can stealth by a lot of things, and use different companions. So it makes for a faster/easier and different experience for your second go around. If you start Sin, then go Sorc. Your patience will be tested, as you'll notice a big difference in the pacing from one quest to another.

Those are the two specs I am looking at.  I am 18 and have not had a problem so far so I can probably push the decision off for a few more levels.  Can probably beat the entire story line and not choose.

Sorcerer all the way. My main is a sith sorcerer, and he plows through enemies. I used Khem Val all the way up until I got Xalek, and then I used him. He has awesome looking abilities, a very easy rotation, and is a viable class all the way into raiding. I've never played an assassin, but I can at least vouche for the fun-factor of the sorcerer. Play one, and you will not be dissapointed.

I have both and find the Sin better for solo questing and solo play in general, that combat stealth has saved my bacon many times and allowed me to adjust tactical plans and widdle down groups of enemies.

Sorc was better for group play.
