Some people were accidentally logged into other players accounts after they logged in, somehow.
Blatant lie. That never happened.
Uh... WHAT?! I was one of the people that was actually logged into someone elses account, so I know for a damn fact you're spewing straight up bullshit kid.
I posted a link further up the thread that shows people talking about it months later on the official forums.
It was one hell of a messed up bug, granted they got it fixed with the quickness, but on a level of "holy shit"... that one takes an award.

Aye definite Gold Medal winner of bugs for that year.
You're right, this launch is even worse than the official launch one year ago. Well I guess not everybody can be FFXIV
As much as I enjoyed FFXIV for a couple of weeks and wanted to remain subbed, it suddenly became unplayable for me with constant lag and disconnects every 5 minutes or so. It worked fine during the free trial but started after that. There are others with the same problem as I could tell by the threads on the forum, though for most people I suppose the game is fine.
I have had no problem with getting into and playing WildStar the couple of times I've tried on the NA server. But who knows. Sometimes game work for most people but not for some.

It isn't that it works for some people but with some hardware. And it certainly wont help if you have old drivers and the computer full with junk.
3 days on and its still unplayable , ive had my share of bad launches but nothing like this. with every patch they make things worst if you get past one hurdle another one pops up /facepalm
its got to the point where i find it hilarious now and sad at the same time as no doubt this will lose carbine alot of potential players too bad really they should have better prepared its not like the game wasnt released already 2 years ago.. i wonder if its something more sinister like an hardware fault on their end.
i think this is a contender for the worst launch in past decade and its still ungoing so it could get much worst before it gets better lol ...so sad :9
Why do we need to crown a game the worst launch? Heck, why do we even need to compare launches and rank them? Why do we need to focus on this negative crap? OP, is this some kind of negative attention seeking for you? You get some kind of thrill out of this?

I'm thinking they were probably venting cuz they couldn't get into the game they want to play
I do not understand all the complaining, the music is great and that little hamster thing running in the wheel on top of the "Retrieving Characters" screen is fantastic!!!! Just wish there was more content but in my first three days this is as far as I have made it. Game is total hardcore, I hear it takes days of grinding just to get a character slot!
What makes Wildstar the worse is the fact that it was a working game. They dropped the ball big time with the f2p transition. That's why it will be one of the worse no matter what the fanboys say. It proves they are a bunch of clueless devs that will always have problems with every patch down the road. The GW2 team should just take over the game from Carbine. Ncsoft should really think about doing this if they want to save this game.
The funny thing is, even if the launch went this bad or worse for it, I'd be there every second if NCSoft brought back CoH. Not helpful to the thread I know, but *sigh*
I managed to get in OK, but the problem I see is that not much is better in the game. Different, yes, better no. I think they have a problem where the desicions are being made on the over all direction of things.
Since launch, I have tried every night to get into the game.
I've only had success getting to the character creation screen 4 time, and every one of those times I could not get a character finalized and I would time out from inactivity and lose the entire character, having to relog in (a couple of those times with a 20+ minute queue) and re-create my character from scratch.
Right now, it's been two days since I've seen the character creation screen - the game keeps timing out at "retrieving characters".
Yes, Wildstar Reloaded now has the crown for "Worst (Re)Launch in MMO History"
I am sooooooo very glad I didn't drop any money on this.
The wanky launch can be forgiven. I got enough game-time in to get my Dominion toon to level 8. What amazes me is how unfun the game is. I waited for this game for a year before it launched but didn't buy due to bad reviews. Now that it's FTP I can see for myself why the game bombed. It's another game that tries real hard to be WoW. I tried to login today but couldn't, due to high volume I suppose. I didn't really even care.

This is a problem. If people can't log in, how soon does the realisation set in that they really don't care?
I call threads like this a misery sump. There's the initial genuine problem and then all the bitter jaded forum veterans wade in with their usual foulness looking for any opportunity to declare how bad a game is. The reality is the game had issues at launch, in a couple weeks they will be history - its a common theme for complex mmorpg, I wouldn't wet my pants about it, especially when you 'don't care' about a game anyway. Misery does love attention though.
rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar
It's funny, I read all these complaints and have to laugh. You are all acting like you paid for something.
I did pay. I paid for the deluxe version of the game and I have an active subscription and the game is still unplayable. My hope is that they will fix these problems soon. Moved my toons to the second server on EU this morning and i'm getting server lag spikes 5-10 seconds and server timeouts.

If Anet had a smooth transition into F2P there is no exuse.
