When I first started reading the title... I got all excited thinking it was going to be a Dune MMO!!! It quickly went down hill :(

kudos to them with going with a small sub instead of cash shop & microtransactions.

This looks more like a cheap mobile app, masquerading as an MMO. AND it charges a monthly fee to play. Why this got even a 7.0 from a review is beyond me. No way on Earth will I be going anywhere near this game.

    Heya @StevenMessner!
First of all, thanks for taking the time and effort to review AD2460!
I am the lead developer over here, so I must thread carefully here in the forums, or the trolls will surely devour me :)

Your review contained lots of valuable feedback for us, and we will of course be looking to address some of the negative remarks and open questions during the next weeks as we prepare for what we call "Patch 7". We are extremely grateful for the part about the tutorial ending abruptly, and I am pretty sure we can do something about that and the questions you were left with when it ended.

I was a bit sad to see that your account never made it past Level 3, as the whole multiplayer-concept begins at level 4 (you can attack the outposts of others, and they can hit yours), and opens up a lot more at level 7 (you can attack other homeworlds, and yours can be attacked as well), to gradually ease the player into more of the action. Since much of this game resides in the cooperation , and conflicts, that are crucial to alliances, with fights about controlling quadrants / stations, I fear there are some really big aspects in this game that you never had a chance to see.

I also think it was sad to see that you didn't mention much about our combat, which is fairly tactical when it comes to fleet-composition matched up with the right targeting-priorities, instructions for your minor ships and a lot more. This is one aspect where we differ greatly from "similar competitors".

That said, if you got tired of the game before getting to the good parts, that is a bit of a serious issue we will need to think about and try to correct :)

Thanks again for your time, effort and review though, it was much appreciated!

Huge fan of this game have been playing since its beta, great gaming community and the game itself is very engaging and addictive! One of the things I like most is that it is constantly being worked on and updated by the developers who seem to be always around to take feedback and ideas from the player base. The game is young and far from a "complete" state yet still I find a great deal of enjoyment working with my alliance to try dominate the galaxy.

the game is great the people on the chats are really helpful and have a grate sense of humor always around to have a laugh the developer is a great listener so ignore the trolls that tell you its a bad game because it has a lot of potential and has a really great community working on it making it better, don't dis the game without trying it first.

The only thing I know about this game is what I read in the review and the responses so far.

It was mentioned the game becomes "interesting" at level 4 and 7 when players can start attacking each others bases and homeworlds.

As an avowed carebear (with 8 years in EVE) the last thing I'm interested in is unrestricted PVP where all of my hard work can be destroyed with little chance to fight back or flee if necessary.

Its important to me to be able to manage the level of risk I take so would have to understand if there's any mechanisms in place to do so. (I.e. timers, warning systems etc. a la EVE)

If my assets are exposed to open assault with little in place to defend then I wouldn't be much interested. (The idea of being playable on a tablet is my main draw)
