A lot has happened in Guild Wars 2 since its launch over three years ago. We've seen two Seasons of Living World content, changes and additions to sPvP and WvW, and a recent transition to free-to-play. As substantive as these features may be, they none of them can match up to the hype and scope of a canonical expansion, which ArenaNet is poised to deliver with Heart of Thorns.

I remember when the GW2 army was trolling every games forums and telling them all how GW2 was the new daddy and all other titles would fall into dust.  All the super review scores, all the amazing new game mechanics.  In the end it was just another mmo in the crowd.

Waiting to see how it plays out.

they could barely get raids play-tested, so I will wait on that for a few months as it is half-baked.

I hope you make good progress gw2; somewhat concerned after I heard that the beta content was circular and monotonous like Silverwastes. and without revealing specifics like how big the maps are, itcouldbe super boring and ultra grind super quick.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, GW2! You had a goodbase to launch this from! I have hope!

As long as downscaling exists I'll never touch this game again.
That's actually one of my favorite features. It feels so organic to be able to go anywhere and play without worrying about being out leveled for it. Also being able to play with friends/guildies easily.

Agree, though I wish they had scrapped levels altogether.

RPG is about numbers, mechanics, character development, that is what defines RPG. Power scaling makes it an action adventure or third person game. This goes against the principles of MMORPG.

Oh? Do you need to play a game where you have a overpowering advantage?

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

This may come as a surprise but some people care more about gameplay, fun and challenges than feeling superior because they have the higher numbers.

As long as John Smith is in charge of economics I'll never touch this title again.
