Usually it depends on what my friends are doing at the time. If we're all bored; it might happen, depending on if someone brings it up and suggests it. Still, seems pretty unlikely at this point. (No one has showed any interest what-so-ever, we haven't even discussed the expansion itself.)
A factor for many others as well I suspect which may be influenced by other releases of course e.g. FFXV at the end of September.
Yeah, at this point I'm more interested in playing FFXV than jumping immediately into the next big WoW expansion, to be frank.  The developers at blizzard are kind of stuck in a rut with WoW since they decided to go with a really, really bad system when it comes to long term player retention.  Skinner box traps only work for a limited time on people with good mental health.  Not to mention if the system gets abused (like in WoD) it can lead to some not so good feels towards said source of skinner box.

OFC I am going to be playing/buying it! I like games of high caliber and quality and you cant get any higher then that of WoW and Blizzards massive success. So yes, I will be playing the MMO that has held and will hold  #1 MMORPG.

    Witty & Wicked >:)

I have played WoW since 2007. I have paid full price for every expansion up to Warlords of Draenor. I ceased playing regularly after that expansion. I will not be buying the new expansion because:

1/ Each expansion is geographically smaller and more restricted than the last.

2/. The story lines are not only linear now but mandatory

3/. The content is unoriginal, repetitive and monotonous

Been playing since Vanilla. Have bought every expansion since. And even though I haven't played much during WoD, I'm still going to buy Legion.

    Nope.

WOW is now a game developed by advertisers, rather than a game developed by gamers. If your intention is to buy a shallow experience with a bunch of hyped up garbage that is terrible for the end user, then WOW is your game. If you want deep, meaningful game play where every decision is made for the player, then WOW will never reach you again.

Dude I can understand the third one but 1 and 2 is absolultely wrong. And you're basically lying about the first one.

    1. This was a problem in Cataclysm a little but this is basically a lie if you're talking about Mop and Wod. One of the BEST things about these two expansions was the map size and design. Especially in Wod maps are breathtaking.

    2. This is wrong too. You can ask anyone if you want. The leveling progress, quests and story in Wod was basically amazing. But that's all. Except this everything is bad about Wod.

    3. Actually the biggest problem about Wod is the end game. So I halfly agree with this. Cataclysm was the worst expansion after Wod in my opinion. But Mop had some very solid raids like Throne of Thunder. However Wod failed with the end game a lot. Everything about the end game went wrong in Wod unfortunately.

I'm playing WoW since vanilla. I took a lot of breaks but with every new expansion I got back and played a little. For me Tbc>Wotlk>Vanilla>Mop>Cataclysm>Wod is the ranking among them . Yes I had a lot of fun while playing in Vanilla. But WoW had some serious problems back then, especially with pvp. The pve part was good. Leveling was the best thing about Vanilla for me. I loved the world pvp in Vanilla but the endless farm, gears importance, lack of competitive play was the problems I had with WoW back then. They mostly fixed them with Tbc and Wotlk. But Cataclysm was a huge back step. In my opinion Mop was a very solid expansion but they couldn't hype it as much as they want without the iconic evil character. I'm playing Legion in alpha right now. And I'm very satisfied with what I saw in the alpha since now. Blizzard did every wrong move they could with Wod and Legion is their last and only chance to prove themselves. And I'm sure they are aware of this. That's why I bought Legion. If they will screw this too, even the hardcore fans will leave this time.

Just played WoW for 2 months during WotLK, left and never looked back.

Not a chance. There are simply way too many other options out there that are better games and more fun to play.

I probably, I always do, but since my account was made in early 2005 this was the first time I un-subbed for more than a month.

What I love about wow expansions is the people that keep saying that they won't return, end up buying it anyway, thinking its fun during the first week, find themselves disappointed before the month is over, vow to never buy another expansion and return for the next one anyway.

Iselin: And the next person who says "but it's a business, they need to make money" can just go fuck yourself.

I haven't played WoW since WotLK and then only for a week or 2. Loved it up to and including The Burning Crusade. But I have been contemplating taking another look, so maybe..........

Why beat a dead horse. Let the game die and lets all move on.

I dont like linear questing or the faceroll open world combat.  I dont really like tab target combat anymore either.  The dungeons (if they were somewhat difficult and require tactics cc etc) have a certain appeal but Ive heard they are not going back to that route.  So no thanks on the xpac.

Now we are getting closer to the next expansion.  IDK how anyone can still get excited after the 6th time.
Are you onto something or just on something?

So far I like a lot of what I see, so ya I'll come back. $40 for what will likely be a 100+ hours of playtime is a good deal.
Don't forget you need to resub as well - so an extra $15 or $30 or whatever if you want to do a comparison with other games.

    I had bought it.

I had then asked for a refund.  (Their CS is great and they did honor my request)

I do not know if I will buy it again.

     - My reasons for my refund were two fold: I really would like to see a Legacy server and then seeing the Garrison table back again just hit me in the face and I asked myself, "Why are you buying this?"

I have played every expansion of the game. I love WoW, but it has changed from being an MMO that I would log into and want to earn stuff and players played for years because they wanted to play with each other and earn stuff too.  You would have a reputation on the server because there was no cross-faction LFG - now there is no accountability for your actions and people don't really speak to each other.

I do know if they gives us Legacy servers included with Legion I will definitely purchase it. Otherwise its looking like this may be the first time I may not play.
