Hello people, I played EQII for the 30day trial period then got bored and quit. I am thinking about comeing back and giveing it a fair try. It might of just been the server i was on that made it a bit under my expectations.
I live in the UK and am in splitpaw because a collegue at work is on there too pluss a net friend i met in the isle of refuge.
can anyone recomend a server with a good population that has a mature comunity. I was thinking about a RP server because RP is always fun but I am not a hardcore RP'er.

I have to admit, I havn't the faintest idea on how it works if you live in the UK, as in whether you have the option to pick North American Servers like Mistmore, Lucan or Antonia Bayle. But if you do have the option, simply from personal experience I would suggest Antonia Bayle as a really great Server to make your home in.
It has a really strong population, last I checked around 8,000 or 9,000 players over 20 I believe and the rp community on the server is very good, easy to get into and quite active with plenty of player run events happening often. And don't worry if your not a heavy RP'er, there's plenty of non-rp'ers populating AB and surprisingly everyone gets along well on average, which gives you the option to dip into Roleplaying when you feel up to it but just play as you would normaly when you don't.
As for not getting bored in EQ2, that's a little tricker, there's not alot of non-combat / non-crafting stuff to do if you don't involve yourself in the community. I would suggest finding yourself a decent guild, getting to know them and going through alot of the fun quests to keep your interest peeked.
Well thats what I got, hope it helps. Good luck.

Role Playing IS fun...thats why single player RPGs just dont do that much for me. Sure, they're fun, but your just hacking and slashing and reading without a whole lot of input in most of them. Unfortunately, most MMORPGs dont live up to the RP part, but that is a community problem, not a game problem. Thats why I choose to play on the RP servers so at least I know their are SOME who are actually RPing and not just playing a game.
