So how many of you are planning to role-play in DnL??

Yeah, I don't have much to say on the subject, except that from what I've seen, DnL is the Role-Players wet-dream.

I will most definetly be getting into the swing.

    Well no beards for this gal but I'm looking forward to DnL and hoping it's as RP friendly as it seems. I loved and stayed with SWG so long because there was so much non-combat stuff to do, and lots rp oppurtunity, something that's horribly missing in so many of the current crop of MMO's.

    I want to Rp in this game and I will, but unfortunatley I think that this game, like all of the others, with eventually be consumed by people who shun the roleplaying aspects of a massivley multiplayer online role-playing game...

    But if I can get a good guild, then everything will be ok!

    perhaps we should all get together and form an rp guild before it goes live.  we're all gonna be on the same server anyway, so it shouldn't be too tough to find each other in game.  I guess it depends on the chat system on that though.

    I already got a roleplaying guild called house ancora that will be coming to this game so I guess I'll be all set.

    Will roleplay in /say and general but as is my usual won't RP in tells or guild chat.

    I'm hoping they have seperate channels for RP, and normal Chat.

             I beleive it's only going 2 be 1 server , So your have 2 try and avoid the PKs lol

    Why do so many people think roleplayers dont like to pvp ?

    I love PvP as long as it has some purpose. I don't like getting ganked by some 12 year old on a power trip. But if the PvP has some meaning to it, i.e Dark vs Light then I am all for it.

    For me, RP and PvP go hand in hand, with the right kind of game.

    Yep how I feel. If there is even the smallest of RP involved, PvP seems better. Its not just "pwning" somebody.

    Because people typically associate RPers with PvEers - and PvP players are tired of being nerfed due to PvE imbalances.

    Well, that and RP Name Police and the constant whining about OOC chat don't help either.

    Not so much that roleplayers don't like pvp as much as pk freaks don't like roleplayers, or anybody for that matter.  No matter where you go or what you do in mmogs, there are always roving bands of pkers that do nothing but kill players as they have no grasp of any other purpose in a game.  People that should just stick to playing GTA at home, away from other people.  Roving pkers are an example of oxygen thieves.  They irritate us all, but we would have to find somthing else to bitch about if they left. lol

    I will definately be roleplaying in this game!  Been itching to find another game since UO that offered what this does.

    And as for PvP'ing..  I can't get enough of it  image.  In UO, many of my friends and I were anti-pk's (before the shard splits..booooo image) and RP'd the whole time.  If there do roving bands of pk's appear, then anti-pk's will arise and I hope that more than a few roleplay it out :D
