What is living a life...

Some things come in life only at a certain time or only for a certain moment...this is what has made me appreciate so much more anything amazing I've been fortunate to experience, something I know many have not.

From the glory early days of Ultima Online, Star Craft 1, Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft as some examples. Since it's been nearly 5 years since I've spent $ on a new game it just makes me realize how truly rare great games are, especially in this age where we have so much more, but it all feels subpar.

That's the other thing about life, we can only choose to do 1-2 things at a time and miss out on everything else that's out there, happening etc...The worse though is to want something and can't have it and I'm just glad through my life that has not been the case.

So yea...I look forward to 2016 like many others around here. In meantime I have a good traditional, true MMORPG to keep me interested and busy. All I'm gonna say it's a private server, so it's free and well maintained. It has community, it has trading, crafting, open world, housing, great combat, PvM, PvP and so forth...I simply can't complain. This is the great thing about sandboxes or hybrids. They allow a certain freedom for players to generate content and make everything else more interesting or dramatic for the rest around.

Pay to win is something that has plagued almost every single MMO out there, either through pay to advance or literally pay to win...but then I realized how I could not remember one MMORPG that has not been P2W. P2P/B2P/F2P individuals can always find ways and buy currency/items/accounts by simply googling X buy...

I have never used $ to "win" because for me that loses the fun, the purpose and diminishing the joy of accomplishing certain goals. I also feel like I'm cheating too against others. Some though believe by spending the $ they helping server/staff to bring more content etc...So, it has pros and cons like everything else...

Bottom line, exceptional gaming experience does help a lot to keep yourself busy, entertained in good and bad times. There is always a game for me to play because at the heart I have been and always will be an avid gamer. There is a very good chance by end of 2016 we will have one great progression game that we will play it for years ahead. 10-15 titles can't all go terribly wrong...

I have a totally different experiences. There are SO many great games to choose from now, I am glad we are not in 1999 anymore.

My steam library has way more games than I can play .. .it makes me realize how truly abundant great games are ... especially in this age where there are so much variety from AAA to indie, and all the OLD games feel subpar in comparison.

If Diablo 3, or Marvel Heroes, or even Warframe was available in 1999, i certainly won't bother with EQ.
