There NEEDS to be another Jedi Academy game with the same combat. Screw that first person shooter crap. Let me battle my friends with a lightsaber in a combat where skill matters. Also make it moddable by the community (E.g. Bethesda games). Now that's a game i'd play until i die.

    yeah loved the gameplay :3

I must have spent hundreds of quarters from my allowance and carwashing money on that particular machine alone.  That and Tron. That was really cool to see this video.  I probably haven't seen that game in over 30 years or so.  Neat.

Same here.  All my spare money went into that machine.  Fond memories :)

Is Jedi Academy Online still being played? I miss it a lot. I loved making a character, picking a lightsaber, powers and just run around kicking dudes in the face, wall running and being a space samurai ninja with glowsticks and wizard powers.

Having 32 players going at it with lightsabers at once in some gigantic glowstick orgie is incredible.

I would hardly call Obsidian a B team Bioware may be excellent but Obsidian has proved that they have the chops to make some of the best games out there.

For me, the best Star Wars none MMO was X wing v Tie Fighter, although the Tie Fighter game was a very close second.

If you've never played the 90s Jedi Knight series you're at a serious loss to equate which star wars game is the best of all time. To this date I have yet to find one that is comparable. Graphically its dated but the gameplay, story & quality were top notch for mid 90s.

While KOTOR was decent, KOTOR was not. The story wasn't that great in KOTOR after like 20 minutes I"m like ok.. he's the bad guy. I found most of the narrative boring & would often click through it because I was rapidly losing interest in all the npc's who apparently had life stories to tell you after just meeting them.

To conclude, all you KOTOR fanbitches you're not jedi's yet. Until you play Jedi Knight Dark Forces II.

    That is all.

Personally, I loved the original battlefronts for their mess-about fun that didn't rely on story. I'm also surprised there was no mention of Bounty Hunter where you played as Jango Fett. I really enjoyed that even though you weren't waving a lightsaber around all the time.

TIE Fighter is still the best. Oh, how I wish they'd update that game. Next would be Jedi Academy, followed by Republic Commando.

KotOR and KotOR 2 are in a league of their own.

They're not a B team at all. They're one of the companies which have surpassed Bioware in the RPG space, along with Larian and CDProjekt. And I don't mean just the modern day shell of its former self which Bioware has become.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

Agreed.  I played X-Wing & Tie Fighter extensively.  They were awesome.  Especially when you got your mission & this side door opened with another optional secret mission & all the medals you obtained.

Curious, did anyone play SWG ?  I was on Kettemoor.  It was entertaining but they changed they game so many times it was hard to stay motivated.

I vote for SWTOR. 200 million budget, beautiful and not an mmo, not one little bit mmo.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

knights of old republic 2 was 100% linear, unlike the 1 that was open to go to whatever planet you want, prefer KOTOR 1 100%, KOTOR 2 was too bored also
fan of SWG, XCOM, Defiance, Global Agenda, Need For Speed, all Star Wars single player games. And waiting the darn STAR CITIZEN
