First thing to mention, Daum has asked for feedback concerning if players want a PvE server. I'm not driving this, just letting those that would like a PvE friendly version without a OWPvP flag know that they would consider it if they think the want is out there.
I've heard many arguments about how it's not what BDO is, that there isn't enough PvE content and that it would fragment the playerbase. I don't personally agree with any of these points. There has been so much work done to keep ones attention outside OWPvP that I think it would hold people's attention long term. Want to build a raft, go out fishing and bring back goods to sell or craft? You can do that. It has housing, trade route system and an interesting take on knowing an area. You not only have to speak with certain people to talk to others but there is a minigame of sorts to get more favor with NPCs. Not to mention the Korean version just came out with two open world dungeons. This title has depth.
Regarding the fragmentation of the playerbase I think the main point being missed is that most of those on the PvE server, if there was one, would not play otherwise. So this would not be a shift so much as an addition and everyone would benefit from BDO success. I really think they could clean house in this industry because they have a quality, in depth title that has unique systems.
Without carrying on BDO has the combination of things to do and a big world to do it in where PvE player would enjoy long term sans OWPvP. If this is something you want as well let PA/Daum know. They are listening.
