I realize that there is a good chance only a small amount of people will relate, with that being said, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is my last great hope for MMORPG's. I remember back in 1999 when I was able to participate in a demo for EQ, my friends and I were totally blown away, we couldn't wait to get home and download the game. Little did we know what journey Norrath would have in store for us. We made new friends, had absolutely epic encounters, our names and reputation meant something, we were immersed in our virtual world. I want my reputation to mean something, If I KS that camp you've waited hours on, my name should be slurred across the land, if I prove to be an asset in groups and help you in dire need, I'd like that to be recognized as well. Obviously i'm not saying everything little thing someone does should be reported, my point is, with 100's of servers and being able to LFR and Duty Finder across servers, your name and reputation mean little. I want to be immersed again, I want to have to plan out dungeon crawls, I want to fail and learn from those mistakes, I want that unforgiving world that used to make Norrath loved and hated all at the same time. Does anyone else feel this way? Feel free to share stories of any epic journeys you may have had. Happy Holidays to all!

My first mmo was vanilla wow,
My second was Dungeons & Dragons Online. It had a bad beginning reputation of being broken, but I didn't know that at first, besides it had been out for probably several months and everything was completely fixed. In fact, between Vanilla WoW and D&D I didn't even know what a buggy mmo looked like yet.
Anyway, I played a healer for the first time and learned to stay back and keep people alive. I found this fun. Weeks went by, and I found I was need, and better yet wanted. The game had lots of healers but players wanted me !.......This was a great feeling. The game seemed to have a delay at log in. by the time I was in I would have five or six invites. Several would say I was a good healer, so it wasn't just because healers were needed.
You need to be fixed on a server to have a community !
You need a fixed server to know where you stand !
You need a fixed server as a driving force to play an mmo for years, or its just another game that you get sick of.
EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
he says .. its his "Last Great Hope" he says nothing anywhere about it being last of its kind ..
you interjected that ... which be an entirley different topic ...
Please try to follow along
Pot meet Kettle?
Any mmo worth its salt should be like a good prostitute when it comes to its game world- One hell of a faker, and a damn good shaker!
