And here you see Chris and Erin Roberts sipping Long Island Ice Teas on a Bahama Island, while Sandi is swimming in your money in a pool in the background.
Because - you know - all those people working for CIG are fake, all
offices are basically empty shells and all those numbers of crowdfunding money
gathered and fans have been falsified to make the Roberts brothers rich.

Nice pic. At least they hire a lot of minorities...oh wait.

Isn't this the game selling pictures of ships for hundreds of dollars? I mean, I know people will get those ships in game when it eventually comes out, but I got to be honest. I'm astounded at the amount of people who pay that amount of money for not-yet-released digital "goods".
Isn't this the game selling pictures of ships for hundreds of dollars?
No.
Its that game that is the most successful crowdfunding campaign in history (ANY genre). And the team is doing what the vast majority of supporters (number still growing fast) wants them to do.

So they are not selling pictures of ships for hundreds of dollars with the promise of receiving those ships in game upon release?
You seem mad. I didn't mean to make you mad. I was just asking a legitimate question. I never said I agreed or disagreed with them doing that, just that I was shocked that people are willing to spend that sort of money on a not-yet-released digital product. But hey, it's their money.
Grievance Guild mates for protection. Guess we are on the same team. Who would of thunk! :-D
I don't play a lot of MMO's regularly so I'm not in a lot of contact with them but I guess I'm still a member! They look like they are going to have a decent presence in SC. Have you seen the amount of ships some of them have? I bet all total Grievance has spent about $10K in ships alone.
Yep, I will wait till the game comes out and play with our guild. That's if it does ever see the light of day.

The team is working on ships, with priority going to those ships featured in the Squadron 42 solo game. That means that some other ships will be worked on later.
If people that take the time to do some real investigation, they would find that even things as simple as the stretch goals has shown what I would term scope creep where features and detail progressively get added into the game.
Sure, there have been missed dates but I haven't seen any MMO that has been able to meet every single date. Nor would I ever believe that any game development has kept to their internal release schedule. There is a big difference, CIG has publicly released their dates where the vast majority of game developers do not release them.
Also, Squadron 42 comes with many of the game packages so you're funding two games for one.
I get that it's healthy to have opposing views but there is a point at which people are just either arguing to argue or narcissistic enough to think their opinion means more than it really does. Unfortunately, the later seems more likely as we continue to push the look at me culture.

Everytime CR speaks he adds stuff to the game and almost 4 years later there's not a single stable feature of the game implemented.

That's not true though, is it. Arena Commander is stable and while some people do have issues on the PU, the PTU is actually quite stable.
If you're going to go out and say, not everyone is experiencing a stable game, then sure. But there isn't a single game that can claim that. Some people point to the public forums and show how many people are having problems but that completely ignores a giant portion of the community that isn't having problems.
The majority of the time, so far, has been spent working on the large engineering and CryEngine customization that was/is needed for the game. Now that the mPU/PTU have been deployed, the development cycles will increase in frequency as they change from feature to date driven.
TLDR: People need to relax and show a modicum of logical thought. The game has gone past it's development time but when it comes down to it, people wouldn't be bringing all this up if they had never released dates for feature releases, which makes the entire point of the doom and gloom crowd moot.

Birds, big game hunting and skinning animals in the BDSSE.
Arena Commander is stable sure.. it's just that AC is a few hours worth of gameplay most of us were done with more than a year ago.
The PTU is more stable than it was but that's not saying much considering how horrid it was when they released it. You still get half the FPS and lots of bugs/glitches in multiplayer with just 16 people in an instance. Considering they're aiming for 100 people I'd say we're pretty far away from their goals. The same applies for EVERY SINGLE gameplay feature in the game. From graphics to animations to mechanics to physics to absolutely everything. Nothing is even remotely close to being done and considering the scope we're still going to be sitting here years later waiting for it while the re-do another ship for the nth time.

That's pretty much you agreeing, in your own words, friend. And I'm not even sure why my EO corp is part of this discussion, stop deflecting. All you did was add additional complaints to the list, none of which were part of our conversation.
"Oh no! An alpha has actually released. Simply saying there is nothing there is no longer an option. Wait I know what can be done - dig up some old dates and call the game a fail. Ah feel much better now."
Did they meet the original dates? No. Feature creep - a factor maybe but, as I said in another thread, I think the very real business of setting up an organisation, hiring staff and all the rest of it - whilst raising the funds - was underestimated. And because they were raising funds they needed to take a stab at the dates. If this was the case then you get is a) a "one-off" slip b) not much of an impact on costs.
What matters now is not what they predicted (hoped) would happen but what IS happening. There is an "alpha" out there. If nothing "significant" happens then that will suggest it has problems; if - however - it makes progress then its a case of is it "happening".
The Not this Shit again post really does sum things up.
As a professional project manager, scope creep = bad management, it's that simple.
As a professional project manager and business manager who has lived/worked in EU countries and the US including the setting up of international projects it is much simpler imo: they underestimated the huge effort that was involved getting the show on the road.
And scope creep does not equal bad management; uncontrolled scope creep is what equals bad management. If your customer wants a change - simplistically - that change needs to be managed be and e.g. brought into scope.
If the SC Trolls and Social Warrior morons did not post this stuff we would not be entertained. They make me actually want to give SC money for the entertainment they provide in their attacks.

So that's what your basing your "I am right" comment on? Holy shit mate, if you really are that desperate, yeah ok. I'll give you that:
The most meaningless part of the game which isn't even part of the main game (just a testing bed), a part where until recently only 6% of the players actually cared enough to have played and which even the devs have really stopped paying attention to (in order to focus on the "proper" game) is stable. EVERYTHING else isn't.

1-0 to you.
You made a sweeping and generalized comment which wasn't true. There isn't anything desperate about my actions despite soaking the entire exchange in sarcasm in an attempt to show how you're still right, in some capacity.
If Arena commander is stable and working then why would they spend a large portion of their development time on it? Why wouldn't they then shift resources over the the PU/PTU? I don't think Arena Commander is intended to be anything more than a game within a game or a way for someone to become more familiar/comfortable with the flight models.
The PTU is also quite stable, as mentioned earlier. They also just released a new PTU build today which is being reported as even more stable than 2.1.0c. So that directly contradicts what you continue to say that, nothing else is stable.
