My preferences of games has always been open world, choices is yours thats either first person or overshoulder 3rd.  Now I enjoy having a house of my own in games i play, even having a chance to have my character fall in love as long as the romance is not as bad as mars wars logs..  ill list my games i got .

7 days to die. :: i build my Elderscrolls looking houses in it.. i also love voxel games.
assasins creed with connor, the pirate, and rogue..
creativerse: i'm bored on it awaiting new stuff..
Fortresscraft:: waiting for more stuff for it.
dragon age origins ultimate edition : currently playing part 1 of it the origins, will do awakening after.
ESO:: lv 37 khajiit werewolf main.
elderscrolls skyrim : Completed fully. [completed various quest mods for it]
fallout new vegas: Beaten, beaten the Dust mod as well, and other quest mods for it including bounties, the adult club one etc..
Farsky: it ended less then a day, would be wonderful if it had more content..
The Forest: made my base has not been raided.
metro bundle:: completed
Otherland:: waiting for housing to be more updated, and na servers to not lock up so much..
Planet explorers: Same as the forest. made my base its protected fully vs mobs.
space engineers: I cant fly towards planets -cries- too laggy
subnautica : waiting for multiplayer mode, and more updates..

well thats it.

oh also im looking into getting these when i have money, or when they get further from alpha..
1:fallout 4
2:Boundless
3:no man's sky
4:assasins creed sindicate, having to skip unity cuz im told it will crash me bad.

yea basically all my games are open world, with housing. i do like games where i can have a chara fall in love.  Dragon age is neat, but im not liking instanced maps and invis walls.. also i cant jump..

Might be worth checking out any of the recent "survival" games, like Rust or Ark. Most of them have some sort of crafting / house building, open worlds to explore as well as some interesting mechanics.

Only one I've personally played is State of Decay. It was quite an interesting game, you end up moving into houses, upgrading them, collecting more people for your house, doing supply runs as well as the usual missions and zombie killing. The houses are a bit limited in what you can do, but the bigger ones are fun. You can also switch characters, so you eventually end up getting to know everyone living in your houses.

Other than than, open world RPGs are few and far between, let alone ones that include housing / romances etc.
Currently Playing: WAR RoR - Spitt rr7X Black Orc | Scrotling rr6X Squig Herder | Scabrous rr4X Shaman
