What exactly is city of villains, is it an expansion to City of Heroes?  If someone gets CoV can they interact with any characters in city of heroes?  even go into paragon city and visa verse.  Is there player vs player if I were to come in contact with a villain?  If there is pvp is it consental?

Have played: CoH, DDO EQ2, FFXI, L2, HZ, SoR, and WW2 online

The only thing that I know about or heard about CoV is this. It will act as a seperate game but if you have CoH it will act as an expansion. If you have CoH but don't have CoV you won't be able to get into the villian city. I have yet to learn the name of the villian city. If villians enter paragon city I'm sure we'd be able to interact with them without having CoV. Yes with CoV out they will probably be more into pvp. I don't know where or how we'll be able to enter the villian city. I'm mostly wondering about the account thing. Or if they'll have a seperate game card for CoV or make one game card for both cov and coh

You can go here to get more info

They have some great screen shots and movies up. I think that from what they've said, it will be an expansion if you have CoH, but can be used as a stand alone. I think that there will be certain areas where those who only own CoH or CoV will be able to interact. But to be able to go to all the different zones, you'll need both games. They haven't really said whether or not you'll have to pay a double subscription price. I surely hope not or I won't be playing any longer.

sounds like if a Hero can enter to villian city... well CoV is coming out in december of 2005 and how many lvl50's are out there in CoH.

I believe there will be many casualties for villians to lvl up...lol image

    sounds fun. image

From what I have read about the CoH and CoV crossover it will only be certain areas that will have both CoH and CoV. Sort of a battleground. I have no details on this but it would help a possible gankfest of high levels on lower levels.

I do not think it will be possible for your villan to get to Atals Park or Kings Row but you may have a cross over in the hollows. But again that is all speculation till the real details come to light.

CoV is an expansion pack to CoH that can be played as a stand-alone game as well. If you want to do PvP, you gotta own both games. I don't think you have to pay a double subscription price though, but I don't know.

I'm pretty sure you only need one or the other to do PvP.  However if you only have CoV, you can only create a villain and play in the villain lands and the commmon grounds between the two.  Same goes if you would only have CoH.
