The topic - amongst other things - is more information on the old stretch goals of procedural generation/exploring new planets and first person combat on select lawless planets on the ground (e.g. fighting for conquerable locations). Interesting is also that he talks about "Alpha UEC" - the in game money we will earn from doing missions in the Alpha, so we can shop in the Alpha in a few weeks (in ArcCorp Landing Pad 18 landing zone) and grab some new ships and ship modules at the ship dealer and personal items (clothing and FPS weapons).
>>>>did he really say '911 stuff' in regards to a video game and griefing. Talk about completely out of touch with reality. >>>>
That was a remark in direct response to some threads on the official forum, where some players (especially with an EVE Online background) announced their intention to deliberately crash a lot of cheap spaceships into buildings on landing approach on populated planets like Terra or Earth. And then claim insurance.
Have fun

So it makes it all right to compare it to 911?
You guys are completely out of fucking touch with reality.
How many new things did he promise to add in?
How long did he push the release date back?
How many new ship pics did he say are coming up for sale?
How many new things did he promise to add in?
How long did he push the release date back?
0, 0, didn't.

Enjoy and know the truth always comes to light!
Though to answer your "question" Budget, interest, studio size and ambition.
You really should look up the definition of slander or did you go to the same law school that Ortwin went to?
Such as "This game will never release" These people are ripping everyone off" "They are not selling ships, just pictures"
Consider yourself educated.
Is the game an MMORPG or not?
I'm calling bullshit.
If it's not an MMORPG, comparing it to one means squat.
Maybe you are thinking of it like I am applying for a law suit or something, even though I am obviously using it in the conversation context.
Perhaps you should try harder to be unbiased and wont cloud your perception so much.
Not to sure what your point is. Who cares if it compared to mmo's or not, that was just a graph I found that reiterated ambitious projects and their time spent on development.
I could find a bunch of "Online" games for you and their dev times if it makes you feel better.
My point was pretty clear. The chart is bulls**t. It's obvious for the same reason you don't put a Honda Civic on a chart comparing SUV gas mileage. You clearly understood what I said. But you still had to come back and say "I don't know what your point is" twice?

Why did you have to ruin it? I wanted to see just how deep a hole they were willing to dig.
So what's your explanation for EQ then? 3 years to make and depending on who you talk to SC is just past 3 years or just past 4 years.
I wonder if people will still pull this chart out as a (poor) defense if SC is still in a alpha state a year from now or 2 years from now.
