Will there be any major "zone wide" events, like a Ring War type encounter for example?

They were major fun in EQ. I would love to see them in Pantheon. 




EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

    I second this.
    Don't have something like this in every zone, that would reduce the fun of finding and doing them.

    But definitly have such huge events. I fondly remember how zones changed for a while and people from all over norrath wanted to get in and help a stranger, simply because it was so fun and cool. Hell, some people spend thousands of plat for ports just to get there in time.

    Great experience.

    MMOs finally replaced social interaction, forced grouping and standing in a line while talking to eachother.

    Now we have forced soloing, forced questing and everyone is the hero, without ever having to talk to anyone else. The evolution of multiplayer is here! We won,... right?

    More games do need big, company-run events. Unfortunately these days people just whine about how they disrupt their usual raiding and whatnot. Just look at how people reacted to the awesome zombie invasion event WoW had years ago. Nothing but bitching and moaning and crying. 

    I honestly have no idea what's going on in the video, but the music is awesome.

    It was basically an event someone could start when doing I believe Coldain Shawl *was a pretty nice shoulder item* in everquest. It was basically a raid event cause at the time you needed a LOT of people to protect the Coldain Dwarves from Frost Giants. It would basically be a very large scripted battle with waves of giants trying to kill the Coldain.
