Ninelives first impression

Hey Mod's could you add this to the Ninelives forums, I couldnt work out how to do it.....

So having never played an alpha before I decided to check this one out.  I've given it about 2 hours and uninstalled.  I would like to say its something to watch for the future but with the mmo competition around its hard to see it happening.

If I had any game making ability I would assume this is the basic platform for an mmo.   There is nothing whatsoever that jumps out at you, but similarly nothings wrong with it.  The scenery is nice - I assume bleak colours are good to reduce computer power requirements?  Running around is seamless.  There are quests, skills to level, gear to improve on, mats to gather and craft, molds to buy to make better gears, pets, mounts, dungeons, teleport stones to get around faster, your bank fills up to fast, etc etc.   Its all exactly as has been done before.  I actually imagine that the Neverwinter alpha might have looked similar.

I think its amazing that 2 people can do a project like this, and if its a hobby for a couple friends then good luck to them, but to turn this into a mmorpg that gets customers looking past the vast numbers of options already available is going to be a difficult task.
