How do you react to being trolled?

I'm frustrated seeing people give trolls attention.
Example: I will watch an awesome youtube video then go to read the comments. Hundreds of people are complimenting the Uploader. "Your voice is great." "Wow, this is just the information I needed." "Best vid yet, man!" And on and on yet one troll will comment, "This vid sucks you take to long to explain." And the Uploader will zero in on that troll and comment back to himr only, ignoring all the positive people.
What message does that give trolls? If you are nice you will be ignored but throw a tantrum and the party starts with you center stage.
So when you're trolled do you retaliate or leave their comment to hang in the air unanswered?
