Why do devs not classify servers, leaving players to define some as "unofficial *** servers"?

I like to find a RP server typically, even though I am not a huge roleplayer I think it adds color to the game. I find myself always having to check various sources like here or reddit or wherever for the unofficial RP server. I also see they have unofficial Aussie servers and others listed. Why don't developers define official servers?
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
