Have you considered doing the right thing? Your caps lock key has done nothing but hurt others so far, so why not tear it out of your keyboard and move on with your life? I mean seriously, why must you do this to the community? What have we done to offend you to the point of typing in ALL CAPS?!
But to keep to the relevance of the thread, these are the mainstream betas to watch.
a game called dark solstice is coming up...they are taking beta sign ups now...it's not in beta yet, but maybe you can still get in for when it does start
Honestly.. Unless your looking for an open beta to help them test the game out.... SHUT UP
"Looking for Open Beta Looking for Open Beta!"
99% of you people are only looking to play a game for free!! get a job and pay for a game thats already out.
IF you are getting into a beta test, then freaking test the game and put in some feedback to the freakin company because they can use all the help possible. Look at some games at release, they have issues... issues which were so easily noted that anybody playin in the beta could've told them about, however since your only playing the beta as a "trial game" then you have have no room to complain whine or moan about anything
It's actually best in an Open Beta to just play and run into bugs then ask for help. Realistically, during this time the company is looking for players just to play the game and see if things run smoothly. Its not really a time to primp gameplay features, mainly due to the fact by the time it comes around its already too late. Thats usually done in closed beta, and alpha testing by well opinionated and knowledged testers.
The Open Beta test is like a commercial test run. It advertises the game, and if some last minute thing goes terribly wrong due to the amount of players it can be corrected before commercial, and it won't piss off the community. From what I have experienced during this time most developers throw away any emails that are labeled Suggestions since most of them are terrible suggestions or irrelevant and would just waste time to read through.
If your looking for a game to Open Beta test you might wanna wait. Webzen, Softnyx, and Gravity have some games about to hit Open Beta that you may like. These companies typically fall under using the same style as seen in MapleStory, but thier upcoming games are in 3d so it might not help with communication. Also Ragnarok Battle Offline might be something that could pass your time well when it is released to the US. Its almost exactly maple story except its one player and has a more fighter style combat system.
