A Tale Slowly Unfolding for Those Willing to Wait

inXile Entertainment's Torment: Tides of Numenera is a new story that carries on the legacy of its much beloved older sibling, Planescape: Torment. Long considered one of the most, if not the most, beloved RPGs of all time, Planescape: Torment has left a mighty footprint behind it, one that Torment: Tides of Numenera hopes to fill and then some.

I'm going to wait until the game is fully released and then probably one more year for the "Director's cut" before playing it going by my experience with Wasteland 2.

Played abit, it's Pretty good and very old school.

Not as much polish as wasteland 2 atm tho.

Wasteland 2 is a very enjoyable RPG, so I have the utmost faith that inXile will handle this IP with care. Looking forward to playing it!

This slipped by me... and reminds me that I still have to play Icewind Dale. Looks good, I loved the Bard's Tale, haven't really played anything else by them. It has been really nice to see the classic infinity engine games getting some love in recent years.

It isn't even in my top 100 games of all time. I'll pass.

Early access for this game will be on the 26th (tomorrow as of this post) on steam according to one of their posts on their website.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

Not sure If i'l go for early access. I'm really interested in this title but early access usually ruins an experience that would be great once finished for me.

Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

Will get it once it is done.  Like its antecedents and influences.  Hope it is deep.

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Games looks really good and is enthralling, but needs work in a few areas, I had to go through the character creation quest three times due to crashing twice. Both crashes were due to opening either the character sheet or the journal. Plus being in a fight for too long took the memory so much that my computer started complaining about it, this did not occur in other games such as Dragon age inquisition which played fine for 10+ hours.

I'm enjoying the game even if it doesn't really give a lot of direction on what to do (specially on that first crisis situation)

I'll be sure to check this out, but I'm a bit skeptical after Pillars of Eternity, which tried to copy IE games in all the wrong ways in my opinion. At least this'll be turn-based, so it won't annoy me with horrible micromanagement and constant pausing.

Oh gosh am dying to get my hands on this game . It looks good. I recall ages ago playing the other one Torment with the purple guy the nameless one. I do not in all honestly remember much it was like long ago and I have a rather poor recollection of it but I remember thinking wow amazing story.

Steam is getting a lot of traffic from me via Humble Bundle. Got Valkyria Chronicles although I have that on the PS3 and also Tales of Zestria and Wasteland 2 director's cut. Am really loving Xcom Enemy Unknown and will be buying Xcom 2 too. Absolutely enjoying myself playing these games. Oh am level 10 on Divinity Original Sin.

I am loving that more and more Japanese RPG games and the turn based ones will be making its way to Steam. I do not enjoy playing much on the console as I hate the controller. So any time I can get my hands on Japanese RPGs on the PC I will grab it.

$45 for a early access rpg? Something about early access and rpg go together poorly, especially combined with half finished combat. Either lower the price or wait to release
