I played the international CBT and i found the game to be great graphically but suck with UI and mechanics etc.  BUT I joined the KR servers and played the game longer than a week and got used to the UI.  Once this hump was over I found how insanely detailed and indepth this game is.  It is extremely detailed both with skills, towns, crafting, trading, merchants, etc.  

Honestly what happened was, I was flooded with something completely unfamiliar.  The movement, skills, UI was so unfamiliar compared to what I was used to with the vanilla flavored MMO's Ive played and tried in the past.

The game is boss.  Going to upgrade my video card and look to be playing this for a long time.  Its definitely worth the time sink to level up and grind.  I started gaming in 2001 with DAOC and that was an epic grind.  This game has grinding and if you dont like that stay away.  If you like earning XP and having everything you fight for be well earned you can play this game.  It is very complex and complicated in many many aspects.

time007,  what type of videocard were you using?  I played the cb1 and my VC (R9-270x) handled it ok on high settings but i'm thinking about upgrading it. 

DMKano:  I don't think you have seen everything this game has to offer.  Might want to check into it.

I think folks new the game might seem lost at first but this is nowhere near complex as people make it sound. 

You have to admit, it's a bit more involved than comparable systems in other MMO's, where crafting is basically 'have item x and y in your inventory, click and get a super-epic item in seconds'

its definitely more complex than other MMO's out there.  But on forums, we live in the world where every other poster is a devil's advocate that ABSOLUTELY must make a reply that is a contrast from what the OP has done.  Rarely will a poster completely agree.  Like if i said, this game is more complex than most MMO's out there. or this game is very complex.  People will say "EVE is more complex, this game isn't complex compared to XYZ mmo."  

But yes, in realistic terms comparing this game to other MMO's on the market its complex.  Compared to something like rocket science, or calculus, no its neither complex as it sounds.  But in MMO terms, yes its up there in terms of complexity and depth.  I've played ESO, GW2, FFXIV, Tera, AOC, DAOC, WoW, Warhammer, ArcheAge, and countless other games and yes this game has complexities and high levels of detail that many (notice i said many not all) of those games I listed and have played DO NOT HAVE.

I never mentioned endgame being complex either.  It can be generalized that the game is complex, indepth, and detailed.  Of course you can also pick out a part and claim its not complex, that is your prerogative.   Eating food isn't complex, you just click it etc, yes yes of course.

I mean, dont we have so many other games out there on the market where you can buy multiple houses and set up NPCs to do trade runs?  Of course, everyone is comfortable with that and its in every single mmo since forever!  old news!  (i.e. sarcasm)

Cool, glad to see you stuck with it long enough to give the game a fair shake.

I think most of the negativity on this forum is just people having strong negative initial reactions to the game and not giving it a chance (or even playing it at all).

I don't believe it will be a perfect game, but I do think it will be pretty awesome.  Unfortunately it seems some people look at 1 or 2 things they find objectionable and then decide the whole game sucks because of those things.
